I am really sorry that you are going through this. The resort has really bad communication skills and I also wish they would improve. Noon that is a pretty bad time. Is the 21st a special day? If you just chose it can you pick the day before or after? I would call the resort and explain what you want? True they have weddings often but they have to have space to accomidate each reception. I wish you good luck with this but I would call before you cancelled or made other arraingements.

I understand you are frustrated but the entire resort is Gorgeous! Wherever you are married it will be beautiful and special.

 

I think it would be a huge waste of money to cancel, get your TA to go to bat for you and they will be better at communicating. I've never had success on my own but as soon as my TA stepped in I heard from them the next day.

 

I know your heart was set on the gazebo but it's not the end of the world. And you can even walk over to the gazebo for pictures later, no one can stop you! :)

We are still working on the issue but I now think we are going to go for the 12noon ceramony. Its a really early and hot time but I sooooo want the gazebo. We are hoping to hear back soon if its a go and we have the tour company checking to see if the poolside reception is open for us. Seens how I have been trying for over 2 months to get a response from GBP, hopefully they can.

 

Beachy Blonde you must be getting very excited your wedding is just around the corner. Hope everything turns out great for you. Have fun.

I am sure the resort will set everything up the way you would like. They do so many weddings and everyone is coming back and saying how wonderful the weddings are. I know the communication is really hard and I wish they would improve that. Good Luck and keep us posted.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
