LMAO! I was kinda being sarcastic, I didnt know it was even an option! I take it they have an area for this?? You will have to explain! Its actually a good idea, I think! So much more private and most likely a spectacular view! Who are you contacting now about details, Landy or Barcelo WC? Im unsure of who to ask my questions to. Ive just emailed Landy because Im guessing it all goes through her?

So in answer to our bit of discussion about how busy Nov is in the Mayan Riviera there is another thread that was just started and Paul Schrank who is a local videographer (including mine!) posted a great answer I think and he says that overall November isn't busy. Maybe it was just a coincidence then that we had so many DT November brides.

I know we really haven't talked about the actual closure of the hotel in a while. Just in case someone's interested there is an article in yesterdays paper saying the judge denied DT's request to re-open. Doesn't say for how long only that the federal prosecutors are happy with the judges decision because it sends a good signal about their efforts to say the environment.

I've already wrapped my head around the fact that I'm moving so I really don't care but I post this for you Dec and beyond brides.

My TA emailed me this morning and said she cant send any more new guests to Barcelo cus they are sold out? I have 2 more people in the process of booking last minute through Expedia that arent having a problem. Does anyone have any last minute guests coming? Have they been told Barcelo is sold out?

I still have a few last minute people, but I have not heard anything. The hotel is huge, like 750 rooms, that does not make sence.

Also, I found out why some of us can't go to Paradisus. Apparently, that hotel has a policy of one wedding per day. They are willing to break that policy under our circumstances, but only if the bride who is already scheduled for our day is willing to accept a second wedding on "her" day. Whoever is getting married on Nov 8 did not want a second wedding so that is why I was not allowed to go there. I heard several other brides from other dates did not want to be flexible either. I think it is just so mean of them and they suck. That is all I'm going to say.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
