Dreams Tulum Closure (consolidated thread)

Megzilla, I would suggest CALL, CALL, CALL! It seems to be working with the other ladies.

I know ALL the work you put into getting your Catholic ceremony cuz I looked into it myself. You've got less than a month so start calling until you talk to Landy or someone from the WC. Also, email all 3 of the guys Amesharpe posted in the last page and stress your situation with the Catholic ceremony.

Good Luck.

Hi ladies. I completely hear what you all are saying. I loose it at timea and am chill at others. I am trying to keep in mind that they are taking care of guests in order of arrival. They have to take care of everyone, even peole who are not on this forum and I agree, it is probably over a thousand at this point. I imagine as overworked as Landy and Sandra were to begin with, they are probably not getting any sleep as it is.

All I keep thinking to myself is that so far, nobody has been left behind or forgotten, and everyone on this forum has been treated very very well once it came their time. I truly think they will take care of us and if we sit back and try to not think about it it will go more smoothly. It is very very difficult for me to take my own advice, but I am trying and I think it helps to think it all through and try to not worry.

My advice, look at the hotels the other girls have gotten as options so when we do get that phone call we can say, I want XXX hotel please. It will make it smoother and faster to know where we want to go when we do get the phone call, and write a list of specific questions you have so when we do get the phone call, we know exactly what to ask...

I'm trying to take deep breaths and not break down, again...

hi gals,

i just got off the phone with daniel at dreams tulum.

if you are getting married before nov. 15 and have not heard from the resort, you need to contact them.

for those after nov. 15 we should know in about a week what the plan is as corporate and their legal dept. truly believe they will be open the first week of nov. 2nd week at the latest.

i know they have pushed this deadline back a few times but i guess it doesnt hurt to just hold tight for a week if you wedding is after nov. 15.

also, mako is right...they have not dropped the ball on a BDW bride so we need to have a little faith that they will do the right thing.

I haven't been working out as much either because I don't want to leave my computer or phone waiting for Dreams to contact me ... and i've been doing a little stress chocolate eating myself sad.gif .... hopefully we will all know something soon so we can move on with other planning that needs to be done.

Geez, I am a total stress eater and drinker. I can't begin to tell you how many nights I come home and just got straight for the bottle of red. I'm the type that usually has one or two a night but now....well, needless to say I'm making multiple runs for the store to buy more. AND, of course since I drink, I get the munchies and we all know that isn't good.

I have 5 weeks to go and to my credit I have been working out really, really hard but nothings happened because I've been stress eating and drinking. IF anything I've gained about 2 lbs. Not good news!

Anyway..back on subject, thanks Tammy for your info. Even if we didn't want to wait any longer we have no choice so I guess we should just go with the flow. And not the alcohol flow!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
