Paradisus Punta Cana Receptions

Recommended Posts

We are trying to decide which restaurant to book at the Paradisus Punta Cana for our reception. We definitely want to be on the beach and will be about 50 people. We may decide to do the beach reception but would rather have a restaurant right now. Does anyone know which restaurants there have beach views?

Marino is your only beach view restaurant. I'd really recommend a beach reception privatized with palm fronds over the Marino. It's the lunch buffett restaurant and is huge, so privatizing your reception there will be costly.

Also check with the Gabi Beach Bar in the Reserve. It's not on the ocean, but does have a beautiful beach.

We're getting married on May 22, 2009. I have no clue about the reception. That's why we are going in January to see our options. I love what Tami did the beach reception with the palm fronds but my concern was the dance floorhuh.gifhuh.gif I have no clue yet as to what we're going to do.......But not worry, I'll find out everything when I'm there and let you know....

I am not sure what we are going to do. It's confusing when you can't picture it.

No, no. The dance floor they are quoting you is a portable dance floor that they place on the beach.

The area of the beach that we used is in front of the Scuba store on the beach, and where the volleyball net is during the day. It comes complete with a "deck" area that was our dance floor. It was awesome, and no extra charge for that.

Here are some pics of us on the dance floor, etc to give you an idea. I hope this helps you visualize. It was PERFECT. Let me know if you want more pics of this...

You can see the dance floor in this pic just behind the cake table that they brought out.

Fun on the dance floor ... (you can see the closed scuba hut behind it .. and shoes in the sand in front of it)

Here it's still daylight so hopefully this shows you better what I'm talking about. :-)

I saw some pictures our Romance Advisor sent us and they looked beautiful. We loved the colours and the setup....

I saw a reception with the Aqua package and it was pretty - but it was set-up right next to the Gabi Bar (which is open to all guests) and was not really "private" IMHO. Several of our guests commented how they liked how ours was private as opposed to being able to see everything going on at the reception just down the beach. (Their reception was going on at the same time as ours, but b/c of our set-up, we never would have known).

Just something to think about, but then again I'm partial to my own wedding set-up, lol. :-)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
