My roomba ate my veil

Recommended Posts

I am not sure how it did it but it did. There are now 2 good sized holes in my veil. Any suggestions on how to fix it? The only thing that I have come up with is a few small stiches to close it up. It is custom made and there is no time/money to buy another one. I was thinking about cutting it and making it shorter but then I lose all my beadwork. I was expecting some things to go wrong, but not this!!

Awww...sorry to hear that. Stitching sounds good. Why not try it & see what happens. Are the holes in a noticeable place? Like are they at the bottom of the veil, near the sides, etc?

Did you order it online? If not, can you take it to the person who made it & see what they can do? Or what about a seamstress?

Again, sorry to hear that but I'm sure you'll work it out.grouphug.gif

I think the roomba needs a timeout!

Thanks for the suggestions. I was trying to avoid housework by getting some robot to do it for me. I guess that was it's revenge. I am waiting for my mom to come over and look at it. I am feeling more confident that I can put in a few stitches and close up the hole. It is towards the bottom left. I was thinking of sewing more beads to cover it up but then I will have to do more on the other side to even it out. I told my good friend and she laughed so hard she couldn't speak. I was so excited for the roomba when I go it last month but it is like a child, you can't leave it alone or else it can get into some trouble. It does love to play hide and seek too. I just bought it with gift cards from my shower...hoping to make my life easier. hahaha

It is so true! Our roomba once ate up all of these cords. I almost spanked it.

I hope you can get your veil fixed.

Haha, I laughed too!! But hey, think of this. At least one thing goes wrong, and be happy it was a small thing like a veil and not tripping while you walk down the aisle!! (knocks on wood)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
