I too am curious about the Marianne role. Curious about her connection to dude that is the shape shifter. She is definitely vampire-esque but wondering why she is pushing for Tara and the other dude that lives with marianne to get together? Is this because she knows Tara and the bar owner were once an item? In any event, I think Bill is gross. Between the teeth and the so so pale anemic look (no offense as I am anemic), it is not an attractive combo. Eric on the other hand can definitely get it!!!!

And I do agree that the vamps will go after Jason after finding out that it was him who was behind the killing of the vamp he and his psycho gf kidnapped. This church thing he's gotten into is creepy.

Marianne seems to have a voodoo spell on everyone around her, I still have no idea what she's up to but I can't wait to find out.

This season is not really following the books so I don't know what to think. I can see some parallels but is very much its own story. Jessica is a whole new character.

 

I do wonder how they will get Jason out of this. In the book Sookie had to escape from the church so maybe they are just switiching roles? I think it will be a good story line for Jason as he has to struggle with his past (taking V, killing a vamp, etc) as well as his feelings for Sookie as his sister and only remaining relative.

 

I officially love Eric. Bill is much more atractive this season than he was last.

Yeah Eric is pretty friggin cool. He looks like a backstreet boy with his new haircut and clothes. I hope that they weren't killing Lafayette..I hope they were turning him into a vampire. He is a great character! Maryanne is confusing me more and more as time goes on...I think that maybe she is a witch or sorceress?? As for Tara, I hope she gets the heck away from Maryanne and that new boy. I smell trouble. My FH and I were so pissed last night after it ended. Sunday is now our favorite night of the week again

I loved Eric with the new haircut and track outfit he had on. I also hope Lafayette got turned because his character is great, cracks me up. I'm thinking Marianne is a witch but i'm wondering what's up with the pigs? She's such a strange character. And i dont trust the guy Tara is hooking up with at all. I cant wait till Sunday night. its one of the few nights that have something decent on.

I know what you mean Danielle. Sunday is True Blood, Monday is Weeds and Wed & Thur is SYTYCD.

 

My BF and I trade off weekends and visit with each other and watch the show. There is no talking allowed and we usually have to banish the boys because they haven't been following the series.

 

And seriously, after reading the books and seeing how tasty Erik was on Sunday, hot damn! I am definitely on Team Erik!

I'm on book 4 now.. and I think I'm an Eric fan as well! Hee hee.

 

Sunday night is definitely my fav TV night now. They just cast everyone perfectly.. I love it!

Yay, I just found this thread! I've read all the books and am totally addicted to the show!! Definitely on team Erik, Bill just doesn't live up to the description in the books, although I do agree he looks better this year...

I highly recommend reading the books because it gives you insight into where the show it going. I really like the fact that they didn't follow the book completely because it would make for boring television.

Oh and I'm pretty sure Maryanne is the maenad from the books. For those who haven't read the books (don't worry this isn't a spoiler) a maenad (may-nad) is basically a creature who feeds off of bad emotions or situations. I think she wants Tara and the other dude to hook up so she can't essentially tear them apart.

Just my two cents worth... Can't wait for Sunday!!

I'm so lost this season, but I still enjoy the show. I think I'm just having a hard time separating the book from the TV version. I want to say what I think is going to happen but then I don't want to spoil it if it does decide to follow the book at some point.

 

Erik is hot and I've been on TEAM E for a while. Bill just doesn't do it for me.

 

Jason is def hot and they need more scenes with his butt or shirtless. YUM.

 

oh and I haven't watched last nights yet but I saw no one has commented to I had to add that I finally caught up (except last nights!)
