awesome, awesome show. i came into it late ... bought the first season on a recommendation and watched all of it in like 2 days, lol. then i caught up on this season just as quickly with comcast on demand.

i hate how bill says sookie.

you all keep saying godfrey ... isn't it godric?

i didn't know there were books ... crap the books are probably so much better. now i need to get them.

Lisa, I just love your sassy hair!

You're right, it is Godric not Godfrey. No new characters to throw at you!

My theory about the way Bill talks is that because he really is English and he tries too hard to cover his accent.

The books are really fun reads. They are a little cheesy at times but there are some steamy scenes to make up for it! I guess the reason the two are so different is because the books are really only about Sookie and all of the other characters are pretty minor. The show has done a great job turning the supporting roles into stars. I love Lafayette!

The first 8 books are in mass paperback so you can pick them up for about $5. Or, sometime this fall, she is releasing a boxed set of all the books. Sounds like a good Christmas present to me! Then, you'll be all ready for season 3!

thanks re: hair, erin! it was my post-wedding chop!

that's probably exactly right about bill's manner of speaking. it always amazes me when someone has an accent and is able to completely cover it, like the guy from "house."

i heart lafayette too ... i was SO anxious when i thought they might be killing him off. he and tara are my favorites. and JESSICA!

i would like sookie if anna paquin was a better actress. sometimes she just annoys me.

Ok so I know this will sound really silly, but I like Sookie's hair better in the first season. This season she has wavy/kinda curly hair and although I like the hair, I don't like it on her and it makes me crazy. Ok, I know, I'm wierd.

I heart Lafayette too, I just wish he would get back to his normal flaming self. Right now he is just a depressed flaming Lafayette.

Just came across this thread, had to reply! I love this show! FI and I watch it together every week.

Sookie's hair does not suit her, I agree. Plus you can definitely tell she is acting alot of the time. I really like Bill and Lafayette! The weird woman living with Tara (cant remember her name), she needs to go already! Or move on with the story line. She is also in Durham County, i dont like her there either!

Anyways!

Erin, I got book 9 from the library today and read it all from cover to cover. LOVED IT and can't wait til the next one. I'm really curious how many more books there will be and how it will all be resolved. Some parts of this book totally made me sad though, especially Claudine. I wonder if they will have her as part of the tv series.. hmm.

So Sunday! Holy Crap! The dream that Sookie had, I personally like where this is going since I don't like Bill all that much. And I totally knew that Eric was messing around when he had Sookie get the silver out of him!

Oh and I love that Lafayette is all taking charge and totally going to kick some butt!

The Godric thing didn't surprise me, but did anyone notice how graceful he was compared to Bill getting burned in the Sun and looking all gross, lol.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
