Yes FRANKLIN is HA-sterical...so over the top...I was so praying Tara would get away (no such luck). My mouth fell open with Tara's when he said he was going to make her his vampire bride....I'm hoping for a miracle....Tara is way to mentally messed up to become a vampire!

See...that's another thing...in the books Tara and her relationship with the vampire is different. but I hope everything that happens is close to how it happened in the book.

I loved last nights Episode..LOL The Franklin & Tara parts had me laughing so hard!! The texting was the best!!

 

In the books, it doesn't go into Tara & Franklin's story that much. Just a little and he is alot meaner in the books than on the show. On the show he's just insane..lol

 

As for Sookie's "Power" I can't remember if she had it in the books, But I DEF know where they are going with it. They are setting it all up for Next season I am sure, when Claudine & that whole thing comes into play (I don't want to give spoilers away, so those who read the books, know what I am talking about and those who don't read them, I am not giving anything away...LOL)

Does Jason Meet Crystal in Book 3? I could have sworm it was book 4.

 

I love where they are going with Bill's Story. It's not the same exact way as in the books, but again, I know where they are going with it.

 

I don't know what the deal with Jesus and Lafayette are but I thought it was really cute. Since this is a whole new scenerio I have no idea where they are going with it, or if theya re just trying to get Lafayette laid..LOL Same thing with Sam's Parents. This is all new so I don't know what the deal is between his brotehr & his dad, but I did read somewhere that his family is more messed up than he knows and you slowly find that out throught the season. So we will see

 

I am not a HUge Eric fan normally, but he really looked hot last night. & Of course, Alcide without a shirt = Heaven. I mean really, His face is ok, but his body is killer..LOL

Jenn- As far as I can remember, Sookie discovered her "power" in the later book, in nearly the same way. She was defending herself and sent a huge surge of power at the person. I want to see Claudine and Claud (Wasn't that the brother's name?) Hopefully he's as hot as the books said.

 

I don't remember when Crystal emerged in the books but I liked that she's on the show. I was excited to see that part and my DH loves the show too and he wanted me to explain her mystery so I did. He doesn't like to wait for it to all unfold so I always get to spoil it for him.

 

I'm curious about Sam's family too. Something is up with the father "owning" the son.

i'm the one who works with her aunt, and no offense taken! the girl who plays her (brit morgan) is actually really cute/pretty (look her up on imdb ... she's normally a blonde too). like definitely more adorable than sexy. she doesn't even look like herself AT ALL as debbie pelt. maybe they had to take it *really* far in order for her not to still look cutesy? the show decided to amp up the "lunatic bitch" factor x1000 ... interviews with alan ball had him describing her as a "hot mess" LOL. and they actually said they beefed up the debbie pelt role a LOT from the books, making it figure into this season more prominently.

really? i thought they were cute and awkward. i've had tons of gay friends so it really didn't phase me but i could definitely see how it might be weird to watch if you're not used to seeing it. i still have a problem with jesus saying lafayette is hot while he's rocking SO much makeup and flamboyant shit tho. did the interaction between eric and (whatever the king's dude's name is) bother you last night too? that sexual tension disturbed me but only bc i love eric and want him to only love women. as if that gives me a chance with him, hah!!!

I may have just been hearing things but last night when Joe Lee called Tommy at the car I swear I heard him say something about "you better get Me my V" So maybe he is an addict. And I don't remember who asked but Crystal wasn't in the books till Book 4. She was Jason's new years eve date.

I completely forgot about the power as well. And I'm having trouble telling the difference between teh books. Why did they rename the Maenad to be "Maryann" in the show when her name was something like "callisto" in the book? Cuz I read Cougs responses and was like who the eff is Maryann? Hahahhaa, it took me a minute to remember.

haha yeah, it seems they changed a lot of the names. maybe maryann just seemed more "normal" so it made it easier to believe that tara wouldn't think anything weird was up from the get-go?

 

i just remember her saying over and over again, "what ARE you?" to sookie. but anyway, not sure when she'll know herself what the power is or how to control/use it.
