I'm glad that the books are better, I absolutely LOVE a good book series, esp about hot vamps and weres!

thankfully, T refuses to watch true blood with me, so i get to drool in privacy and say things like "that's the last thing i want!" without judgement or eye-rolling! (too funny, miss D!)

 

my first 8 books should be here any day now, but i got tired of waiting so i ordered the first book on my iphone to read. i loved how the whole thing with sookie asking eric if all vampires fly and his response of "can all humans sing?" was actually a convo with bill in book 1. i felt like such an insider knowing that, hehe! and i liked it better with eric.

Debbie Pelt looks just like I pictured her in my mind. I can see where she is a little more over the top in the show though. I can't imagine her poor conservative aunt - her role is anything but

 

I am glad they are making Bill more unlikeable in the show. I didn't like Bill at all in the books but on the show, they had made him so nice! Definitely the nasty sex scene with Lorena and then the very end of the last show make him way less likeable! Move over Bill - bring on more Eric and Alcide

 

I read all of the books about a year ago but I think that I should re-read them. I feel like there is a lot of stuff that I am forgetting!

MY BOOKS ARRIVED TODAY! now i just have to try not to read them before vacation, since that's what i bought them for! i have 10 days at a lake house in the poconos coming, and the books look like really quick reads.

This guy is actually already on the show, he plays the Magister, the one who sentenced Bill to create Jessica, and who is currently threatening to kill Pam if Eric doesn't provide answers about the selling of V. But I agree that based on the book descriptions he would have made a good Fraklin cause I pictured Franklin older too. And it seems that I'm probably in the minority but I pictured Debbie Pelt different, more "hoity toity" bitch, a little less "grunge" V addict bitch, which has more to do with the shows portrayal then it does with the actress. So far I don't think Alcide has great chemistry with Sookie or Debbie. I just read the synopsises they released for the August episodes on CNN and it sounds like its going to get really good.
