How long did it take for your dress to come in?

Recommended Posts

Mine was suppose to take 6-8 months, but I ordered it in early June and it came in last week. (So sad I haven't had time to go see it yet!!) I was surprised because I wasn't expecting it until January.

That does seem like a long time.

WOW! I am so sorry it is taking so long. The wait feels forever without it being extended. What were you initially quoted? I think it all depends on the designer. I know with my Lazaro I was quoted 7-9 mos. They do not even order the fabric until you place the order. It has been 3.5 mos for me and my fabric swatch just got here today (meaning my fabric is in so they can start designing it now). Good Luck!

YAY!!! So exciting!!!

I'm not expecting to get mine in until December (I think I may have left it a bit late to order!!) but I'm calling in a couple weeks when my mom gets here to see if it happens to be in! I think they just say 5mths in case its their busy season...which I don't think it is. Unless DWs in the winter/spring are taking over the trad. summer wedding?? (which they very well could be!!!)

Tell me about it. I ordered mine in December. I just found out 2 days ago that it is in.

I found out that the reason for it taking so long depends on where you get it from. I got mine at Macy's and because its a big shop, they don't send the order in right away just in case someone else comes in to order the same dress.

I don't see how that was my problem, but I had so much time that they didn't think it would be a big deal.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
