oh yikes, thats what i thought.

i called numerous times and every time they say "it should be in next week, we will call u and schedule fitting when its here..." they nev call me so i wind up calling them and hear the same thing. today- she said "let me take your # and i will call u back.." so now im thinking something is wrong!

its strange b/c this shop is normally wonderful! at least they were when my sister got her dress there. i would have recommended them to everyone.

jac, sometimes it depends on the designer. like mine had a normal wait time of 12-16 weeks, but my shop had another bride who bought a gown by the same designer and was having it rush shipped, so the shop was able to add my gown to the rush order at no extra charge to me. my dress came in 9 weeks because of that.

it sounds weird to me though that your dress shop is being shady about taking your number & calling you back.... do you have a confirmation from them that your dress WAS actually ordered when you ordered it? like my dress shop gave me a copy of the fax confirmation from the designer that my order was received.

I'm going to call them in an hour if they dont call me back. I have been nice up to this point, so I gotta start being more stern.

The top has a lot of beading, the bottom is tulle so not TOO much.

Its casablanca, so i dunno if they take longer, ? yeah they are alil weird. its upsetting though because i really liked that shop, thats why i went there. when id call before, they would pull my info right up and tell me, no its not in, so im just wondering why she asked me for my # after i asked her today. kwim, like she saw in my file something was up, ??

the funny this is my original wedding date WAS going to be in sept, THIS sept, like it would have passed already. so if that were the case i would have been screwed!

ill just remain calm and if i dont hear back ill call them in an hour.

Not to freak you out more than you are, but my FSIL just had HUGE trouble with getting her dress. The boutique kept saying next week, next week (sound familiar?) and it ended up that the shop was going out of business so she didn't get a dress at all!!! She was left two weeks before her wedding to go find a dress!! Luckily they did give her her money back! And the dress she found to replace it was absolutely stunning!! Just thought that you should know that.

Good Luck...I'm sure everything will work out!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
