Anyone here not having a bridal party??

Recommended Posts

Hi all. Is anyone here not having a bridal party?? No bridesmaid, groomsmen, or flower girl etc?? I'm thinking of not having anyone in my party just because my wedding is sooo small and honestly I'm not THAT close to that many people to be having them all in my bridal party. I may just have ONE for me and ONE for DF. Like one maid of honor no brides maid. And ONE best man, no grooms men.

What do you ladies think??

There's been a few girls that didnt have any wedding parties at all. I know there are threads on here for it, you might want to search to see what they did. They didnt have to deal with a lot of the hassles we have with our attendants.

I think 1 for each would be nice. We are just having 2 for each and that's it. I say you should do whatever you want.

I am doing just that! Not having a bridal party, for witnesses, my best friend of 20 years will be there and my FI's brother...so I guess they are kind of like the best man and MOH. They will probably stand nearish the wedding site with us to hold the rings and sign the papers. But we are not having them wear any special dress or outfit.

I just like to keep things simple and minimize the amount of work that I have to do and I have read about some serious bridesmaid drama on the forum!

I like this idea!! And aside from all the bridesmaid drama, I think it's also an extra expense to have a bridal party. Just means more gifts. Haha.

HAHA it DOES mean more gifts! And then like bridal party activities!!!

I guess I am just not one for tradition...I think the bridal party thing is a tradition, especially if you have been in the bridal party for friends...it is kind of like them returning the favour.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
