Welcome and yes, I'm the crazy person who bought a dress with 18 months to go!! [EEEEK] but it's forcing me to run about 3 times a week to be sure I'll git in it. Good luck shopping!

OK #1 I am naming your hubbie to be "Trophyteeth" b/c I have bad teeth and his look perfect! Got that out of the way Mr. Crest commercial, j/k you are both adorable! Congrats to you both and my best with school! Hang in there, it will all be worth it, right?!!!

I gave up my paying job with benefits to go back to school long term for vet med...errrr...damn those furry faces... When will I be done with school, not any time soon, we were all gung ho in 2009 and now we are 2011...WooWoo!!! Goooo 2011!!! (By the by, when did I become a Woo Girl, need to check myself there...anyhoo, I've digressed) I hate to say, but we are moving further and further from the DW I dreamed of. But we have found a nice Jersey location I'm not appalled by and actually do like so....we'll see.

We have checked out a low-key but fittiing location we both dig...in Jersey too...so that's a big deal. Not a wedding factory, but a cool spot that will certainly be different. I'm a LI horse-girl, so an upscale horse stable is right up my alley and low-key summer BBQ at the stables is right up his, sooooo...it might work.

Can I still hang with you DW girls though? I don't like the other wedding sites/forums...

Bonus...if we wed in Jersey, we honeymoon in AFRICA!!!

I'm a 2011 Bride to be!! I know i'm way ahead.. but the more time you have ahead, the better it is. I'm looking @ October 2011. Haven't officially set a date yet because we'd like to have a venue booked before we announce the date. Then once that's all said and done...we'll send out the STD's! I'm going to travel early spring and/or summer this year to the potential wedding locations so I can finalize my decisions. I'm hoping all of the Brides that have been there and done that, will lead us into the right direction. Thank You all :)

Hi 2011"s, I am now a July 8, 2011 bride. I just recently changed date and location. I have been planning this wedding since late 2008. I had booked and planned for Dec 1,2010 at the ROR, had every detail planned, from the moment I got up to the moment we went to bed lol. Now I am starting all over again at Couple Sans Souci Ocho Rios, its a little frustrating since there is very little information here on the resort.

I have not done alot of planning yet for the new resort but I do have my garter, starfish for bouquet, starfish charms for DIY projects. Thats about it. Happy planning everyone

Hey ladies,

I am also a 2011 bride. I am looking at Feb 2011 at the Dreams Punta Cana. We are waiting because we are actually expecting in April and I want to get back in shape before I get married. I also want to do the wedding before I go off of Maternity Leave.

I'm glad to see there are others on the forum that are packing all the centre pieces and decorations and stuff. I was getting a little concerned ready some of the others postings where brides are bringing everything but the kitchen sink. I'm heading for a DW so I don't have to worry about any of that stuff, the tables could have a simple white table cloth and I would be perfectly happy.

Welcome all the new ladies! The only thing I may pack is colored fabric for the chairs. Another thing we may consider is our own arch. I know, sounds crazy, but who wants to pay $700 to use one at a resort? We can buy one in a pretty small box for $30 at Hobby Lobby and just bring fabric for that. It's a thought, not sure how we'll handle all that. YAY for 2011 being for enough away for us to figure out all those goofy details!

Hey ladies! My fiance and I were originally planning our wedding for Memorial Day weekend 2010, but ended up pushing the date back and are now getting married at the Dreams Tulum Resort and Spa on April 2, 2011!!! I think it's great that we all have a head start on our planning! Hopefully it will pay off in the end and we won't have as many headaches lol! Happy planning everyone!!

Brooke

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
