Nov/Dec 2011 here - going nuts!!! lol - I'm calling the travel agent next week and I'm hoping she'll be really helpful because I'm drowning in travel magazines and still have no clue what resorts to choose! I've got my save the dates ready but I just want to fill in the blank "location" part so bad!!!!

We're getting married July 15, 2011, in St. Lucia.  I feel like it's so far away, yet so close!  So much to do!  We have already sent out our save-the-dates...wanted to give everyone as much notice as possible, as St. Lucia is so expensive.  We are planning to send out formal invitations in April, as the final date to book/pay is May 25.  I guess we don't need RSVP cards, because everyone will need to book through our travel agent.  Any advice on that process?

Yea for 2011 brides!  It will be here before we know it! :)

I know 2011 is fast approaching, its hard to believe that just a little while ago we all had over a year now the time is flying by!

How is everyones planning going.

I have mailed the STD,  purchased stuff for the OOT bags, have sashes for the chairs, my reception dress and going this weekend to try on wedding dresses.  I have chosen my flowers and trying to decide on BM dresses. Already have the BM and groomsmen clothing.  Reserved the steel drum band, photographer.  I am sure there is other stuff that I have accomplised but thats all I can think of right now.  I have also bought the sand ceremony vase and sand.

I going to send out my Invites Nov 1 and have deposits back by Mar.

I have my dress, centre peices, beach towels for the bridal party, chair sashes i am working on right now. Also currently looking at cake ideas. My Groomsmen have nothing yet, lol. I am leaving that up to my FI. But it will be something simple for sure.

I am wanting to purchase a cute white dress for the disco after the wedding cermony and private dinner. I DO NOT want to ruin my wedding dress there.

this is my planning thread.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
