I'm not getting married in June/July but my STD are being sent 9 1/2 months before the wedding and invites are being sent out 7 months before the wedding and requesting RSVP's be received no later than 3 months before the wedding and advising people that all bookings must be done no later than 2 months prior to the wedding (hotel is requiring a full guest list of attendants one month prior to the wedding). I just talked to a TA at the beginning of this month and she said prices for Funjet are not out yet for May of next year so to call her back at the end of this month. And she said since it's still sooo early as time goes by prices are more than likely going to drop. If i get a really good price before invitations are sent out i may just email my close family to let them know.

Agreed on that! I am getting married in Mid May. I skipped the STD and moved straight to invitations with booking info. I am sending those out at the end of Aug and asking for RSVP for 3 months prior. It is my goal (We will see if it happens to know what 80% of the guest list is doing by the new year)
I was thinking of doing a Remember or Thank you for booking in Christmas cards this holiday season.

The Christmas cards thing is a good idea. I even put on my RSVP's at the very bottom that responses not received on or before Feb.14 will kindly be taken as a not able to attend. I just don't want people to try to send RSVP's weeks before the wedding. I need to know my guest count so i can know the final bill of the wedding at least 2 months before and i also noted that no bookings will be accepted after March 14. And if anyone has any problems with these requirements than they don't need to come! HA! Is that too mean?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
