i sent out my std's a year in advance and then sent out the invites once i got pricing from a travel agent. on the invites i included all the booking info and when my guests needed to put their deposits down....ended up being 8 months before the wedding.

lol, yes Obama and i go way back......this was taken at the wax museum in las veags. we just had to....lol

the 8month mark seems like a good idea. my only concern is that would mean i would send them out in dec. Alot of people are usually super busy during that month, with xmas and all. thinking maybe jan then. that way the invites dont get lost in the bussel of christmas.

I can't believe how fast 2011 is approaching. As soon as I decided on a date is when the time started flying. lol I have a little over 8 months. And I have done NOTHING!!! my STD's have gotten lost in the mail. Which means no one has actually made a deposit yet. Which sucks cause I don't know exactly how many people are actually going so I can't buy anything for the wedding as far as OOT items or even chair sashes. I haven't purchased my dress. I don't have any accessories. Only thing is I've made a few deposits on the room. lol

Lol, i think it's time for you to get busy. Sorry about ur STD's, try sending them via email. Wedding Dresses - Wedding Engagement - Wedding Ideas - Wedding Planning - By TheKnot.com offers that. Start emailing guests and see what happens lol. Or just skip the std's altogether and send out ur invites.

I already paid for the STD's...so they will get sent out...what I was thinking of doing was just including a person letter giving more details and skip the invites. lol and as for everything else...I guess I'm just stalling. At least I have my welcome dinner dress and 2 bathing suits. lol

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
