I'll be in Chicago those dates for a trade show with DH's work. We are staying at the Palmer House and if there are any BDW's in the area, I'd love to meet up for a cocktail, shopping, whatever. :-) I'll have lots of free time since DH will be tied up with work a good bit.

 

Those dates are a Saturday thru Tuesday.

I have never been to Chicago, but Tom has been bunches of times, so he is going to point me in a lot of directions. :-) Once we get closer, I should have a better idea of his schedule and what "mandatory" parties I get to attend. But I fly in pretty early on Saturday morning (like by 9am or so) and he gets in later that day. So, I'll have Saturday during the day free for sure and probably all of Monday.

I'm so excited!!!

yay, well let me know the sched as soon as you know, and we can try to get some other girls rounded up at least for late lunch on that saturday or dinner & cocktails!

 

i could probably pick you up from the airport saturday...which one are you flying into?

i am nowhere near the wine connosseur you are but this place is really fun and has great wine & food!
OMG! That place sounds awesome - and I love the "NO Tax Lunch" promo - great idea! But I am up for anything too! If there are any landmarks I need to eat at - I'm in .... although this place sounds fantastic!

So it turns out I have to be back in town for work by Monday night (Oct 27) ... so I am thinking of coming into Chicago on Friday afternoon instead of Saturday morning. Then, I'll have to leave Monday mid-morning. DH is still going to come on Saturday, so I'll be free all Friday night and/or Saturday if that works for you Maura - and any other Chicago BDW's who want to get together!!!

hey tami, if you come in on friday afternoon i def cant pick you up from the airport bc ill be at work, but i could hang out friday night and saturday day & night whenever you want!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
