Necklace to wear with Sweetheart neckline

Recommended Posts

Hey ladies...

My mom and I are having a little...differing of opinions when it comes to what style of jewelry to wear with the sweetheart neckline that my wedding dress has.

I will attach a PDF file that has a picture of the top of my dress, along with three necklace examples. I have a favorite...but...I think I might keep looking too. I will post again tonight with an update having the photos in photobucket...so if you don't want to waste your points, just wait until tonight!

Which would you prefer the look of...

Sweetheart with a rounded, non-drop pendant, style necklace...

or

Sweetheart with some form of drop pendant necklace.

I really want to post pictures of the ones I'm thinking about...but...I'm at work and hence do not have access to my photobucket account...
I'd have to post PDFs or something...and that uses points sad.gif

Lately...I feel like I need to run EVERYTHING by my girls on BDW...before making a decision! Good grief.

Hello

My dress also has a sweetheart neckline and I have decided not to wear a necklace. I think it will take away from the detail on dress, my hair and veil. Also I find in pics that it always is mixed up or the clasp is in the wrong spot -which can potentiall ruin a good photo.

I am going with simple elegance!

Hmmmm. Normally I would say the drop one, but it's got alot going on. Pretty and all, but I think it's too much with your dress. And I don't think it should hang below the beginning of your dress, or get caught in cleavage. If you like the idea of a drop necklace, I think going a simpler route would be better. A simple elegant chain, with one teardrop crystal, or something like that.

Personally, I am not a fan of the rounded necklaces, cuz I think they tend to look flat or something. The pendants give definition to the neck and chest area.

I chose not to wear a necklace for my wedding, cuz I didn't think I needed it in my low v-neck dress. Looking back at pictures, I really wished I had a necklace on. Not sure really why, but then I did wear one for the AHR and I think it looked so much better.

Ohhhh! I just thought of something that could be perfect! Well, the style anyway, not so much the color. but I just saved this etsy item to my favorites, cuz I really liked it for a dress that I am wearing to a wedding next month. Something with this simple style would be nice with your neckline.

Actually looking at it again, it's kinda big as well. But I like the general style of this better for your dress....

I agree!! Well...with the idea!! I like the drop...but something a little simpler. Than the one posted above! I'm going for a casual palm tree pendant (my whole theme!!). Check out this forum... http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t29355

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
