Hi Jess & Andi,

I was just in PV and had a chance to tour La Estancia and it was amazing! The pool was so tranquil and the rooms were very beautiful. You also can't beat the spa! I've been to that spa on three different trips to PV and love it! One of my favorite spas ever!

We just booked our honeymoon (woohoo!)

We almost went with Casa Amorita (looks amazing!) but went with Quinta Maria Cortez instead at the advice of our TA (because we wanted something a little more quiet but still walking distance). Check it out if your looking for a unique bed and breakfast; we are staying in the Maximilliano! They have better pictures on Trip Advisor.

They also own the villa next door and you can rent out that and/or the b and b for weddings; wish I'd known before we booked ours!

Jess, have you decided where you are going to stay for your honeymoon?

We still haven't! yes i know, we are only about a month away! initially we were only going to stay for a week but have decided to extend our stay and have some alone time! smile29.gif so that is why we are not booked yet

we are still torn between Villa La Estancia, Villa Premiere and now after your suggestion, casa velas!!!! Because we will be in Nuevo for the wedding portion i am thinking i really want to move closer to town....oh decisions, decisions!

I saw that special yesterday! It made me very excited....I ran home and told my FI about it!

We too are about 90% decided on Casa Velas...the only thing I think that is holding us back from booking it is that it is not right on the beach...I am trying to convince FI though that it will be fine to take the shuttle to the beach! wink.gif Hopefully we will have it booked by this weekend!

yeah let me know! On the reviews no one had any concerns with that! And the beach club is supposed to be incredible - I guess you can even walk...if it makes him feel better tell him Villa Premiere has a really rocky beach - so even though it is on the beach I think Casa Velas is better...can't wait to hear what you think if you guys decide on it!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
