I just got back from a lunch with a speaker. it probably is an obvious trend with my posts. the biggest challenge I have is when i'm not in control of my own meals. work functions and lunches out are always hard for me.

but, i did really good as this meal. it helped that the speaker was vegan so we had really healthy options. I had a tortilla wrap with veggies & hummus, a rice dish & fruit. Usually these things include chips & a huge cookie. luckily that wasn't there.

I did splurge at a work event yesterday. I had some pecan pie. but, i didn't have any alcohol and stuck to healthy food choices like spanikopida and quiche.

i've been planning out thanksgiving meals. lots of good veggie dishes. i really prefer eating healthy. it just takes more effort.

Ok, so I am just withdrawing from this one. I haven't been eating right OR exercising and I keep forgetting to take the picture while at home and then stress about it while at work. I think I am just going to bail out this session and perhaps when I mean business I will join the next one.

I am trying to get Matt on board to just eat healthier in general, so perhaps I'll be ready for the next group.

morgan, it must be hard having so many times that your meal isn't completely under your control. eating out is the worst! seems like you are doing the right thing with making the best choices you can make at these things. it can be way too easy to just give in to eating crappy food because it's available, so keep up the good work!

congrats jill, and all you other LOSERS! hopefully i'll be back on the losing side next week!

There are all sorts of website with quick and easy recipes that will make eating protein a little easier for you... check out the sparkpeople.com recipe section... lots of healthy food there.
I will have to check that site out. Thanks!

Congrats Jill! Way to go.

i can't believe how many things I've had since starting biggest loser. today was good though. I was able to pick really healthy stuff. probably healthier than i pack for myself.

for the events i organize, I try to have healthy options. like a fruit tray instead of all cookies.

i haven't worked out yet today. I'm feeling really tired & i have a headache. but, the biggest loser thread inspired me. I'm starting up a workout video right now...elefant.gif

Hey there everyone! So glad to see that the weight loss has been going so well. I know that I am disqualified now but that is alright. I have been gone due to a death in the family and now another family member is very sick and not likely to ever go homw again if she survives. Although I haven't lost any more weight during the past 2 weeks, I am happy to say with all the stress, lack of sleep and eating out/weird meal times, I haven't gained any weight. If you don't mind, I would still like to be part of the group without being a part of the group anymore. I am hoping to lose a few more lbs in the coming weeks, and could use the great support here.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
