I'm doing low carb, which worked wonders for me before. The belly weight is usually the first to start coming off. Also, I don't know if anyone does diet pills (or if that's a taboo) but I love Xantrex-3. Thoughts on diet pills, anyone?
welcome aboard! i've done low carb before and while i liked it and felt great when i was doing it, it was very slow-going for me ... i tend to fare better with a more balanced approach, like ww or similar. if it works well for you, GO FOR IT, just remember to get your body the nutrients it needs (take vitamins, eat veggies, drink plenty of water, etc.) ... so many people mistake low-carb to mean just eat meat meat bacon meat and nothing else. LOL

as for diet pills, i don't see why they should be taboo, but i'm personally terrified of them. seems they always find out that they cause some kind of medical problem and then they get yanked off the market (then again, i don't really like taking ANY kind of medication)! if you do use them, just pay attention to your body, and certainly discontinue use if you notice any weird symptoms/side effects.

best of luck and welcome! these girls are a great support system!

KLC77 I was always looking for someone to work out with then I worked out with a friend and to be honest it can be good and can be bad, it is good bc the days you dont wan to work out hopefully they will motivate you to go, but on days they are late or not in the mood or do not have the same goal as you they may hold you back. I now find it much easier and I work a lot harder when I do it myself. Do you want to workout with someone to get you to workout each day, if so use this forum to help. I log into this one and the one have you exercised today and I feel so much better when I can type something I did. Since I have not worked out in a couple of days it has been driving me nuts to read them and no log anything.
I agree that working out with someone could be good or bad. I really need someone to just make me do it. Ha, I guess that would be a trainer (or myself). lol I will try just logging in here everyday and reporting what I've done. Hopefully that will be enough. With BL3 I was in it to win it so I was really motivated to get to the gym. Since the only chance I have of winning this is if all of you break the rules and I win by default, I've been slacking a little this week. I really need to set some goals for myself and post them here so that I am accountable for them. And maybe some rewards like Morgan...

Oh, I definitely can't eat just "meat and more meat". I eat mostly veggies plus chicken breast and some turkey, and also low fat cheese. I just LOVE LOVE LOVE bread and that's what really packs on the lbs for me (I heard somewhere that it's a sign that you are at higher risk of type II diabetes. - great...!) And the bad thing is that when I eat bread, I crave more of it. But when I don't have any, I stop wanting it, which makes for a great cycle breaker.

But the first couple weeks of a low carb diet always make me really cranky. I feel bad for my FI, but he'll appreciate it when I look my best on the beach!

yeah those first few weeks while you're trying to break the carb-dependence really do stink! the headaches are the worst (but maybe i got them mostly from giving up caffeine at the same time)!

So I tried the Turbo Jam and I do like it. I also have my Wii fit, and I have been trying to get rid of the pop and drink water and eat healthier. I think that I am doing alright. I should probably do my exercises now since my son is asleep.

Oh yeah, I will see about doing the before and after pics too today since I haven't had a chance yet.

I went to the gym this morning - too bad the opening person was almost an HOUR late!!! SUCKED!! I only managed to get in 35 minutes on the stairs before I had to leave for work. My DH is going running with me after work though - that should help.

I just had a yummie sandwich: Dave's Killer Bread with 1 laughing cow light cheese spread on it and cucumbers. The bread is high calorie (120 a slice) but it is SO filling and good! It's the only bread I eat anymore.

i heart that laughing cow cheese love.gif. i often use 1 wedge in place of cream cheese, or spread it on crackers (love it on triscuits). it's so good! i never think to put cukes on a sandwich ... sounds delish tho!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
