Just wondering if anyone has tried to book flights from toronto for Jan 17-24 lately?? Is it all full??

I was looking on the sunquest site and it tells ya to pick another date. When you go to Riu site, it will allow you to choose a room. Does this mean flights are gone?

If there is someone that has booked someone in say the last week from toronto, let me know pls or any input would be appreciated.

Hi, I just did a quick look on expedia.ca. It looks like the packages offered by Sunquest have been sold out, but Sunwing is still booking. Alternatly, it looks like there are independent flight through Westjet, Air Canada, Delta, and American that go there if you don't mind booking separately. I bet if you dig around you can find some more options.

If you book seperate it might be very costy.....we were looking at different dates for our wedding originally and when we thought that we actually had to be at the RIU two full business days before our only option would have been to book the flight and hotel seperate and it was TONS more....

My travel agent from sunquest told me last week that there were no available spots for the week before and i'm pretty sure she said the week of the 17th as well. We are also flying out of Toronto. It's crazy how booked they are!

I hope my TA can pull something off. We are willing to share a room (our room is booked) but we just need to get a flight.

This is my MOH so I am really panicking!!

Few of my guests are driving down to NYC from Toronto the day before the flight, and are flying out of JFK with me. If you have anyone who lives in NY, maybe it would be beneficial for you to drive here as well, mainly to get the dates that you are hopping for. (Just an option if all else fails)

If you're TA said it is booked this could be the case. I just know from past experience (about a month ago!) that just because it's not showing up online doesn't mean its not available. I was constantly looking at the prices, gateways, etc for our trip, and one day I noticed that nothing was available!! I FREAKED!! My MOH still hadn't booked now there was nothing available!!! I contacted my TA in a panic & she said there were still seats available. Also, I checked a day later & it was available online again! Weird! Just their way of getting slackers to book I guess!! lol

If this is not the case then I wish you luck in finding a flight for your MOH.

My travel agent also told me last week that the flight was booked....she actually said that ROR is on a "stop sale" which basically means the resort is booked (we booked thru sunquest). My friend decided to join our group last week and the only reason she was able to book was because we had a cancellation so she was taking that person's spot. She lucked out I guess.

 

I really hope there are still rooms available though. My fiance and I are actually trying to extend our trip for a few days to have some "honeymoon" time.

Well here is the end to the saga...there are 14air spaces left...no room space.

What we ended up doing was securing the flight and added her to our room.

TA is gonna watch to see if some rooms may open up, if that's the case then we'll get her a room.

I am just relieved we found a way to get here there

My wedding isn't even until April and apparently my TA said the resort is booked solid as well. April! Holy crap! As if the place is booked up 6 months ahead of time! Eeep. Same deal, we're flying out of Pearson. I warned people that last minutes weren't a good idea. Gah.. I've got no one going to my wedding, because everyone's waiting for a "deal" - makes me sad and pissed!

At least you're getting your MoH there Chicklet - none of FI's friends booked yet, so he doesn't have a BM ... might have to be his Dad. Heh.
