Oh but a friend of a friend lives there and my friend and her husband would go visit all the time and her and her husband LOVED it there. Me and one of my friends were just talking about how we should take a trip there before the year ends. Maybe you could do that too??

My freshman year of college I went to a school in Charlotte. The city is nice but I just didn't like the area and transfer to Rowan. It was just too slow paced for me. I dont know if these things matter to you but the beach was too far away and the ski mountains were not that great for me. My roommate was from Matthews and that was a nice town right out side of Charlotte.

i haven't spent time in charlotte, but i love western NC. i'd really like to be closer to the mountains than we are now.

i'm from the the really flat part of texas so the mountains here are wonderful to me. people from colorado call them hills. still i like that you can hike to the top & back down in 2-3 hours. i'd probably enver make it to the top of a mountain in colorado & the top is the best part.

charlotte has a bunch of bank headquarters. i'm not sure if that is effected by the financial institution crisis. I don't believe they are investment banks so they might actually be doing well. i think the bank of america headquarters is there & they are doing very good now.

i can ask a friend how charleston is for living. i know its a nice place to visit. i've only driven through charleston. we stay in kiawha, SC right below charleston once a year. it's a privately owned island that is a golf resort. we go in dec so it's the off season & cheap. but, the weather is still really nice. the island is beautiful.

so i know there is really nice stuff in the area, i just don't know a lot about charleston. but, i've gotten the impression its a nice place to live.

where is tami (foxytv) from? it's somewhere in SC. maybe she can tell you more.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
