I am so so sorry for you grouphug.gif My ex-fiance did something similar to me - we'd been together for 5 years, but no kids.

I can't imagine how difficult this must be for you with two kids and 10 years behind you.

On the plus side, you have your family and your kids and you will get through this.

You're young and strong and you found out quickly, which is really good.

I'll shut up now. I know going on isn't going to help you at all.

Just know we're here for you to listen. grouphug.gif

I am sorry to hear that this is happening to you and with such piss poor timing. But in the end isn't it better to know now rather than maybe 6 months after your wedding. I hope he is still being supportive with your children, obviously not financially if he has lost his job, but the best thing he can do for you at this point is to continue to be a respectable father. You and your children are in my thoughts.grouphug.gif

oh sweets. im so sorry! i know there's nothing that i can do for you, but just know that my thoughts and prayers are with you. i cannot even imagine how difficult this must be for you. i believe that you'll make it through this and that your life will be all the better for it. i mean, if he couldn't whole heartedly commit to marry you, then he definitely wasn't the right one. i hope that you find someone who will be proud and excited to marry you. you deserve that! no matter what, you have your children and your family, and they will always love you and be there for you and that's an awesome thing. i think you should take your children and go to punta cana or somewhere tropical, and just get away... enjoy your time together. i wish you tons of happiness and hope only the best things for you!

Wow, I've been following your thread. I am sorry this has happened to you. But like the others have mentioned, better before the marriage is official...although in a lot of states you would be considered common law spouses at this point. I think that he must be incredibly weak/scared...it just doesn't make sense to spend 10 years and make 2 babies with someone & not want to marry them.

Sorry girl, but you totally deserve better. hug2.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
