Thanks Kat, that thought had crossed my mind too wink.gif I will continue to confirm and if I find out before I leave that it won't work, I'll get married here and have a symbolic ceremony there. If I found out after I get there that it's not ok, FI were thinking and hoping we can have a symbolic ceremony there and get married here when we get home.

Do any of you ladies know for the symbolic ceremonies if there's always a minister on the resort (even when not needed) to perform the ceremony?

Thanks again everyone, this site is awesome and you're all so fabulous and supportive!
They will arrange for an officiant even for the symbolic ceremony and in the end it saves you some money in Mexico. I don't know about your site. In Mexico you have to have blood work and a bunch of other stuff. In the long run it saved us about 400 dollars to get married before hand.

Hey everyone, I received "comfirmation" from Gabriela Palacious at the Iberostar Paraiso Beach regarding my situation with dates.

Here's what she said "Regarding the paperwork, yes, it’s important to arrive 4 working days in advance if you already booked like and you cant change it we can live it like this but please its really important to come with us the following day to do all the paperwork also I will need your witnesses come with you either because I need their signatures per some documents."

Would this put your mind at ease or would you still be worried? I don't know how I feel about all this... sad.gif

So a little update for you ladies.

Gabriela Palacios from the Iberostar Paraiso Beach has been corresponding with me throughout the day, she reassured me up and down that everything would go exactly as I wish, so I guess I'll just have to take her word for it and stop stressing over it. Also, she is a very sweet woman, a pleasure to deal with so far! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
