Hey Everyone,

We have narrowed our list a bit, finally! We are getting married in Riviera Maya, are coming home the week after for our At Home Reception and then leaving right away for our honeymoon, CANNOT WAIT!

In no particular order:

1. Turks and Caicos

2. Aruba

3. Costa Rica

4. St. Lucia

5. Bermuda

Anyone have adivce on any of these places?

It depends on what your looking for - they are all fantastic destinations but very different in what kind of honeymoon you'll have!

Are you looking for lush beauty? A caribbean flair? Amazing watersports like snorkeling, fishing or diving? Or eco related tours? Do you prefer to vegatate on the beach for the entire honeymoon or are the both of you very active ?

How far do you want to travel for tours at your destination?

Do you prefer a destination that is more metropolitan and has lots of restaurants, nightlife or shopping or a destination that has more of a caribbean feel & flavor and a little quieter?

Then you have to look at what type of accomodations you prefer- are you both a couple that prefers the ease of all inclusive resorts or do you prefer trying local restaurants and flavors? Do you want a 3, 4 or 5 star property ? beach, town or mountainside? Is service very important to you? Any amenities on your must have list- in room jacuzzi, swim up bar, amazing pools, incredible sunsets ect....

Once you get the answers to all of those questions then it's easy for me to narrow down destinations and specific resorts that fit exactly what your dreaming of for the honeymoon! Without it i can give you opinions on what I love but that doesn't necessarily mean that you will love it too!

go on a cruise that stops at more than one port! :)

can you tell i don't like to make decisions? LOL! TA jennifer gave great advice, but didn't mention BUDGET! some of those places are more affordable than others.

the only one of the five that i've been to is aruba, and the beaches are amazingly pristine and beautiful (tho people i know who have been to curacao liked it even more)! not many all-inclusives at either tho, if that's what you're looking for.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
