what ever happened?

Thanks for following up, Kate. I'm irritated that it's taken this long to update.....but it took 2 weeks of voice messages and a half dozen emails before I finally heard word from my WC. And.......it's hopeful. I got a phone call from her Thursday and we hashed out the budget, flowers, reception entertainment and the removal of, and who is gonna decorate the reception.

Happily, the air rates have recently dropped....and people who told me they couldn't attend can now attend. I've been sitting at 17 guests for over a month....now I'm back up to 28 booked.

Well, I'm keeping my ceremony musician and conch shell blower. All the bridesmaids are getting 2 orchid bouquets to hold at the wedding....but those same flowers are doing double-duty as centerpieces at the reception. I'm losing my live band and DJ and opting for a sound system setup for $150. I've been creating Ipod playlists since my phone conversation. I'm feeling better that more monetary details have been ironed out. Actually, I'm finally feeling giddy about getting married....and in Hawaii no less.!!!!!!

So happy to hear things are coming together! Funny how one productive phonecall can do that, huh?

Everything will turn out beautiful! It is Hawaii after all!

I had a phone call with my WC to talk about budget and ways to save now that I am down a bunch of guests and stuck with their rooms! You are not alone:-)

Best Wishes!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
