Geni - Free Online Family Tree

My cousin set up an online family tree at Genealogy - Free Family Tree - Geni. It's kind of like facebook for families. You can add in your family members and then send them an email to invite them to set up their profile, or other people can info about that person. Each person can set up their profile with their interests, contact info, pictures, etc. You can post events, or family news that everyone can see. I had never heard of it before, but it is pretty neat so I thought I would share.

Omg, I was just going to post about this too!!! This site is great! I recently got an invitation from a second cousin of mine and we have 188 members in our family tree. It's so cool to see how everyone is related, and our tree has family way back to the late 1800's! The great thing is that each member of the family can add more to the family tree, so it is a collaborative effort. For example, my second cousin added me, but he doesn't know everyone in my immediate family, so I have added all my family in there, so it just keeps growing. It's cool cuz my family is from a few different countries and I always hear stories about people, but never knew exactly how they were related to me. I've always wanted to do a family tree, but knew I had to do a lot of research - this site just solves the problems since it's a collaborative effort. I haven't been excited about a website in awhile!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
