I suggest talking to a travel agent...they will have some great ideas for you! Especially the ones that deal primarily with wedding groups!!

I am doing an AHR...well not really at home I guess. My FI & I are both from Newfoundland, bu t live in Ontario. We are doing our DW in January & then we are planning a small reception for the summer of 2009 in Newfoundland so that we can celebrate with our family & friends who couldn't make it to the actual wedding!!

Good Luck!

Hi Cher! Welcome to the forum. I'm from Vegas too! Yes, it is stressful to plan a destination wedding and chose a location. I think you just have to ask yourself and FI what you folks are looking for in a resort. Read through other girls reviews, those are really helpful. Well good luck, i'm sure you'll find a place that you fall in love with smile03.gif

That's where I was going to suggest. There's also a beach at Lake Las Vegas. :)

Thank you for the warm welcome! I cannot wait to read through all the detailed blogs that have been posted on this site.

I love the great ideas and I am starting to actually feel like this can be done - where it once seemed like an impossible task. I'm just going to have fun with it and enjoy the process.

Thanks again! cheers.gif

Hi Vickie - nice to meet you! I'm glad there are other Vegas people on here. I thought it would seem silly to others that I was undecided on my wedding location since I live a place that people flock to get married - but as a local, you probably know exactly what I'm talking about.

Anyway, thanks for the welcome! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
