Moon Dance Villas

Recommended Posts

sorry but I've never been to moondance cliffs, it wasn't complete before I started planning. I have been told that the road leading out there is pretty desolate (from other people that have been). You just have to remember they're just now finishing construction, they probably wont have much plant life, or grass, that takes awhile to grow. Last I looked they didnt even have reviews on trip advisor.

If you ask me its kinda a risk not knowing what it looks like. But my wedding planner at moondance villas sent me a brochure for moondance cliffs spa, i looks nice they have alot of unique services.

Good Luck!

I am getting married at Moondance Villas because I didn't want to take the risk of staying at the cliffs without knowing whether or not it would be finished. Plus, I want to be on the beach. You have to take a taxi to the beach from the cliffs. I visited the villas last year and it was spectacular. Moondance has amazing service so I'm sure the cliffs will be the same quality.

Thats awesome! That's where Im getting married in June, whats your date? I've never visited but my travel agent cant say anything but its the best place in Negril. We rented all the villas so far, but I dont think we'll fill them all with guests, we also reserved rooms at crystal waters and Beachcomber, because moondance was so expensive we wanted people to have options. I've been planning with Oneika (the wedding planner) more and more, she's making it very easy to stay organized, which is usually not my strong point. Good luck!! Cant wait to hear more about your story!

PS, I'm living in VA, my brother lives in DC, SMALL WORLD!!

YEY!!! My date is June 20! Yes it is a small world! What's your date? Oneika, Miriam, Kim, they have all been fabulous. I have yet to send her my decorations and flowers etc, so Oneika is waiting on me to get it together but she is on top of things, which I love, because I'm definitely not organized either. Where in DC does your brother live?

Trust me when you see Moondance, you'll fall in love! It's gorgeous.

We booked the whole place at first too, but people are dropping like flies (see my post "Jamaica Wedding Blues"). I think we will end up usin only half of the resort. Yes, good idea to book other places, I need to look into those that you mentioned because I want my guests to have options as well.

Keep me posted on your progress. Too excited!

Hey Ladies,

I'm still completely undecided between Moon Dance villas and Moon Dance Cliffs. The Cliffs look breathtaking, but I'm not sure how I feel about it not yet being completed and not having beach access...Moon Dance Villas look amazing yet much more expensive and I worry about the family being a bit "too close" (my parents got divorced just over a year ago and I don't know how the whole villa situation would pan out...)

Would you mind me asking how much you girls were quoted for booking the entire property at Moon Dance villas?

And does anyone know if the Cliffs has any sort of water access - including simply jumping off of the Cliffs like at Rockhouse or TensingPen?

Thank you!

Quick question for the Moon Dance Cliffs and Villas brides,

I just got a wedding quote from Miriam at the Cliffs and she is saying that the reception would be $115/pp. I thought this was a little high based on what I've read on this forum...I realize there might be a difference between the Cliffs and the Villas but this seems like a large difference in price.

What are your thoughts? Has anyone else been quoted pricing for the reception at the Cliffs?

Thank you!

6/6/09! Thats crazy I'll only be a there a few weeks earlier than you! My brother lives in Arlington, I'm just down 81 in Staunton. I just Oneika some decisions with regards to music and flowers. My one big concern is that we have two sets of grandparents that are going to be there, I worry about their walking ability in the sand. We'll probably end up with half of the resort I have a really good map on my website, it shows everything on the beach, in regards to which hotels would be convenient. Have you decided what you're doing for music and everything?

I got new suitcases for xmas, I've been wanting to pack them since but have resisted the temptation!

Hey ladies! I went ahead and posted a new thread for the Moon Dance Cliff brides! I was starting to get confused! :) I don't know how to post a link to the new thread, but you can just search Moon Dance Cliffs and it should pop up! I'm excited about sharing vendors, etc!

Sparkles, how did you get a quote for $60 pp at the Cliffs? I'm getting quoted at $115 pp?

Hi Ladies! Congratulations to all my fellow bride-to-bes! I'm new to this forum and glad to be a part of it as we all can help each other :-). I'm also planning to have my wedding at Moon Dance Villas this summer. For those of you how are half way through your planning, is the wedding coordinator responsive and easy to work with? How as your experience been so far?

Thanks :-)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
