When it comes down to it and we know these 'extra' guests are for sure going, we'll do what many girls are suggesting; whoever wants to go to Mexico can go to Mexico but we may not be able to accommodate people's personal guests at our wedding ceremony and reception. I'm keeping in mind what most gals say and that is that about half of the people that say they're coming will actually come. Our wedding is two months away and several people in our wedding party haven't even booked yet. We're not pressuring and prodding any one, if they come they come!
Our groomsmen seriously booked three days before our wedding. My MIL booked four days before the wedding!! Talk about stress!

I just sent out my invitations yesterday. Our wedding is 9 months away but whoever wants to go has to put down a deposit by January. I am so happy you guys wrote this so I know what to expect (hopefully not) and what my repsonse will be. It is unbelievable how people invite other people to your wedding. I know its their vacation too, but they should understand it's your wedding. People should be more respectful of what this is about.

This is the type of conversation that makes me drink! URG people make me so annoyed! shots.gif

NO! I hoped they would I was like it will teach them!! But they ended up paying the same amount as everyone else! Oh well at least they came. Did I ever tell you that they showed up with black pants?! I told them specifically tan pants.... they liked the black ones with brown pin striping so they bought those. The day before the wedding they let us know that they were black! That was my mini bridezilla moment. I told Ryan I didn't care what they looked like I didn't want to see them! I just want them to go find tan pants now. So, they day of the wedding they went to the mall to find some tan pants! I couldn't f'n believe it! They kept saying they were 140 dollar pants they are really nice! I told them I didn't care if they were made of gold and diamonds they were going and buying tan pants lol. In the end they came up to me and told me I was right and black would have looked totally out of place. Later I did see the pants and they were very nice pants but they are lucky they didn't show me them before the wedding because I would have strangled them both!!!

I've been really blunt with people and said look you're my mate but your on off girlfriend isn't she isn't invited lol

FMIL was told straight by FI that only SHE and arsehole were invited any rogue ones and she was off the list 2.

Sometimes you just have to be straight to the point, ie its a free world by all means come to mexico but don't think you are the wedding because you aren't lol

i've, as yet, not had any rogue ones lol

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
