back when that was my wedding date i was totally planning on invading marie's wedding too! i had to switch it to 2 weeks later tho. marie will be leaving a day or two after i get there, so we'll definitely have a drink or seven anyway!

You guys are too funny!smile120.gif

I'm so glad this thread was started. I thought I was the only one going crazy with this!!

So my FMIL wants to invite her cousin & cousin's husband. Fine no big deal. I mean, my FI has not seen or heard from these people in like 15+ years but WE will deal with it.

Now we find out that this lady (FMIL cousin) not only rsvp but also purchased 6 airline tickets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

wtf.gif

Turns out she's inviting her kids, their spouse, and their children!!!!!!!

I'm still trying to figure out how the hell this is going to play out!!!!!

Ladies, I feel your pain. My parents absolutely insisted on inviting all my dad's brothers and sisters. (There are 5 in addition to him..+ their SO's) Which means I would have to invite all the cousins, who I love but I really just wanted a SMALL WEDDING! Now, what could have been 25 people, MAYBE, could now potentiall be 45!

The most ridiculous part is that my FI only has 10 people on his side!!!

it cracks me up how people think they can just invite themselves and anyone else they feel like to someone's wedding even when they are not contributing a dime!

now i'm having the opposite problem ... my matron of honor called to tell me she will not be coming ... that she and her husband can't afford it. and then all the "please don't hate me" emails ... what.ev.er.

anyway, about an hour after she dropped that bomb, quackquack found me on here, and we are definitely going to be having a drink (or seven) together since she will there the same time as us! i'm so excited to have another BDW bride with me!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
