DREAMS PUERTO VALLARTA "thread"

Thanks Jess! I know, we just love his style & feel sooooo lucky to have him! We were going back & forth between him & some others who cost less, but decided that the pics are what last longest (besides the rings) so that's where we're splurging. Can't wait, especially for the TTD the next day!

Sorry I never responded to questions - it's been an insane month with work and my wedding shower (yeah!) and bachelorette party (double yeah!). Now I am back to seriously planning because suddenly the wedding seems so close!!

Most of the bonfire questions have been answered (we are doing this without dinner), although Rebecca told us that the bonfire lasts until the fire burns out. She did not say whether they would give us extra wood. Would be good to ask. You have to be off the beach by 10:30 pm. We are going to bring some chocolate and graham crackers to have at it too. I still need to find out about whether that includes a beverage waitstaff. If not, we might also bring some alcohol down there with us too.

She said Tuesday nights are Caribbean night and start at 7:pm. I'm not sure about the other nights. I was concerned about it interfering with our wedding but she seemed to think it wouldn't because at that time we would be at dinner and our music would drown out theirs. Has anyone had issues with this?

Has anyone done floating candles in the pool?

I feel like there are so many details to consider!!!!

LOL. That pic is from the Fiesta Bowl the day after we got engaged :)

Let me know if you need anything for your bachelorette party. I threw a big weekend bach bash for my best friend a couple of months ago in Scottsdale and I work in Old Town.

I am finally able to go to Dreams for my planning trip (though most of the planning had better be done) in early October -just 3 1/2 weeks before the wedding. I think it would be great if I took a couple of suitcases of wedding "stuff" when I go for this pre-wedding visit. Does anyone know if they would store my bags for 3 weeks, or do you have any suggestions/opinions about this idea?

I appreciate your feedback!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
