Ladies, forgive what may be a breach of forum rules (I guess, since this is not about a Dreams wedding per se, but related), but I wanted to share this with you because you have been so wonderful. In case any of you are on the fence about Dreams PV due to dates or anything else (it is a wonderful selection, so this is for those, like me, who are set on a date and the Dreams is booked then): I had to look for alternatives and thought about Riu Pacifico. However, the Riu does not work with outside planners. I do not have enough confidence based on my research to book the wedding there. It looks like the best thing to do is the following, assuming our budget allows for it (and I welcome your thoughts on this as well): We will stay at the Dreams PV, which is where we wanted to stay all along and use Dazzling Details to plan a wedding at one of the many villa or private beach options that are out there. If you have specific recommendations in the meantime, I am all ears! If not, no worries. I do not want to detract form the focus on your wedding at Dreams PV. Good luck to you all. May it truly be the day of your Dreams! xoxox to all . . .
Notice: The site will be offline this Saturday evening (4/21/18) for a major software update. Thank you in advance for your patience while upgrade to a new-improved version of BDW.

I was surprised when Rebeca told me we have one option for the dinner reception. There is also a vegetarian menu too. I waiting to hear back from her as to whether we can send her our dinner choices about a week beforehand.
Also you are allowed to bring your own centerpieces and table runners and napkins-- No charge. I asked if I could bring my own lanterns to hang from trees (las palmas terrace) and she said there is a charge of $70 to hang them.

Nat I think its a good idea. And the villas are incredible. Check out Casa China Blanca...it is so amazing!!!
Jill - do you have a sample of the other girls? I'd love to see that - I love the restaurant idea as I know nothing about the restaurants at Dreams...or anything at Dreams really.

Have you checked out the other options on this forum, there is a thread under Wedding Attire for hair flowers?
I bought mine off etsy and I'm thrilled about it!!! It was $19.99 plus $2 or whatever for shipping and it turned out amazing! The lady who made mine was butterfly enchantress on etsy.com
just a thought....

Wow! You are getting a ton of stuff done. I haven't even bought my OOT bags. I need to email Rebeca today so I'll ask about the nightly activities.
I did find this site that lets you make your own crossword and word finds. There are some examples from other peoples weddings and I am thinking about adding one to my welcome books.

Jess, you know what, I don't really. I have it all in pieces sort of, but I'm not sure when I'll put it together because I don't know how many I need.
But, here is the breakdown for the welcome booklet I copied it from Mandy's Mom (I think that's who it was...?)
Front Cover - cardstock paper from Michaels - really pretty watercolored paper
Inside - includes welcome, itinerary, peso conversion, spanish phrases, wedding puzzle, restuarant guide for the resort w/dress code, and guest's name and relation to bride/groom (that's what I'm thinking so far...)
We are planning on having them small (about 1/4 of a paper) and then punching holes in the upper left corner and then tying rafia through to hold them together. Then people can flip through them almost like flashcards or something.
I might actually have a sample made up soon and then I can post that!
And I should have my welcome bags done soon too (my tags are done and oh so cute, but I'm waiting to post once I get the bag done too)
My mom is making the bag out of fabric from her quilt store. It didn't take much fabric at all and she is just sewing them up and then attaching a ribbon on the back to tie it closed. I'll def post as soon as I have it
