Another random question and I don't know if anyone will know this, but which restroom would our guests use if our reception is on the Terrace? Does it have high general public traffic? I am trying to decide it I am going to provide things in the bathroom like lotion, oil wipes, etc.
yes, there are bathrooms right by the pool. i didn't put anything in there b/c it's still public, plus i was traveling w/ enough!! i think there are 2 stalls (in the women's at least) and a sink.

I think we might end up staying somewhere else and maybe trying to set something up with Rebeca to just pop in and have a little tour. If not, I've seen enough pics and heard enough good things on this forum that I would still get married there without seeing it.

On a side note, have any of the legal requirements changed lately? Do you guys still have to be there 3 days before and get a blood test done? Do you still have to get your birth certs translated? And does Rebeca take care of all this for you? Let us know how it all went once you get back!

Hey, I am getting married April, 10, 2010. We will probably be there at the same time. I am considering the gazebo now too. What time is your ceremony? I wanted mine to be before sun set so pics can be taken after. Good luck with planning

Hey Christen,

I am getting married April 17th...not sure if you will still be there! I am so excited! However I havent had many people book...everyone is scared about swine flu and thinks it is expensive! Dreams is so reasonable...I dont get it! But its ok...the only person I need there is my hubby to be :)

I am also doing the gazebo! It is so pretty! Still on the fence about the reception!

AprilMay...I was going to do the legal ceremony at Dreams until I heard all the stories about legally getting married in MX! I heard that some people papers were lost and never filed...it was just a big mess! They had a thread about it on here! So what we are doing is just going to go to the court house when we get back to make it simple and know for sure we are legally married! Just a thought for you!

Also if you end up going let us know I really want to see more pics of the place! I have yet to see any pictures of the ballrooms!

Hey guys, so the story goesssssssss........... we're still doing recon to PV in Nov but are staying at Riu Vallarta :S I ended up finding a sweet-ass deal on funjet and got a free room upgrade as well so am alright with it......... I GUESS. We're going on the 15th for 10 days :) I'll take lots of pics... and then I'll have to figure out how to post them! 6 weeks!!!

I've emailed Rebeca and we'll be meeting with her one of the mornings to have a tour and get some info. I'll make sure to ask about the legal shat.

Welcome Christin!!! Have fun spending HOURS on this forum! (Make sure you read the whole Dreams thread, it's sooooo full of good info).

Bethany: Doing the court thing afterwards is definitely something to keep in mind - some people are sneaking and doing it before the dw but I just thought it would take the "specialness" out of it. But afterwards would be ok I think cause it's really just signing & paperwork....

Not sure about the legal requirements AprilMay - we're doing the legal stuff before we go.
i think there might be enough room for a narrow basket. if i remember correctly, it was just a sink, rather than a vanity. you could always put a larger basket underneath. i don't remember if i mentioned, but that bathroom is still public, even if your reception is private.

we did legal stuff before we went. didn't take the special anything out of it.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
