How fun Kimber! I love the idea of sunglasses and hats!

We were sad that more of our guests couldn't come, but then I guess that does help with our budget!

Did you get a picture of the world terrace? If not, let me know. I have a picture somewhere....

Are you in Arizona? Or Nebraska?

Thanks for posting that Autumn. I know I have that list somewhere, but I don't remember if it had the pics. And, what if we ask Rebeca if we can leave the starfish with her in between Jess' & your dates?

btw, where are you going for your bachelorette party?

No prob. I think that Jess and Jill are at Dreams at the same time so maybe they could pass it off by hand. But I haven't talked to Jill and Jess is on vacay so no speculations yet :)

I'm going to San Fran and then wine tasting from there for my bachelorette. So excited!!!

Have you seen a reception on the beach right in the sand? I'm surprised they can serve there. I can't picture it- especially at night. But, that might be the best option. Now I wish that we would have explored some off-site options for the wedding, but I hadn't even heard of that until I joined this Forum. This has been a big help.
Kim - check out Dazzling Details blog - The Dazzling Details they have a lot of beach reception pics at Dreams.
I'm having mine on the beach in the sand. They said that with more than 70 people anywhere else is way to crammed.

Autumn that sounds like sooooo much fun!!! I haven't been to SF in years and have never been to wine country. My parents go every year (my g'parents are out there) & I'm so jealous!

Jess, that pic is hilarious! You're like Miss Bride America! :) looks like you girls had a great time!

Lauren - Would you mind sharing the template for the contract you brought with you? I would like to do the same thing - I don't want any surprises. Right now I have all of these random emails of things Rebecca has told me but I need to consolidate it.

Thanks!

Jamie

Jamie, I have an update 2009 version of the contract Rebeca sent me if it will be of any help to you. It is from when we were originally going to get married Dec. 18th, so it has 2009 prices. All you have to do is update it how you want it, print it and bring it with you. Hope it helps!!

Jess, I LOVE your bachelorette pic! It looks like you had soo much fun!

Jillian - did she say there was no set-up fee because you have the Ultimate package? She made it sound free to me regardless, but then someone else on here (I think) said there was a set up fee for some things.

WOW GIRLS! I'm away from the forum for two days and I feel like I missed a ton of stuff! I had to go back and re-read everything to catch up!

Jamie - I'm just planning on going by the contract Rebeca sent me. It's basically the same as everyone elses that's getting married the same time as me, but I'm just not going to check other pricing and just go by what she sent me. I do think the projector was sort of expensive - I can look it up, but I thought it was $300 or something.
Rebeca DEFINITELY told me that whatever I brought from home, I could give her and she would set it all up for me. she said as long as I gave it to her the day before the wedding, because she doesn't want to bother me the day of. She seems really easy-going. She said I can use her basket to put our maracas in and she did say there is no charge for signature wedding cocktails - so to me, she seems pretty chill about the details.

JESS! - I LOVE your picture!!!

Oh, and girls, I just got back in town and rcvd my bridal shower invite! It just made me a little sentimental. I can't wait for it! I already have my hat and dress! they are so cute!

the pic of world terrace looks great - however that is the center of the resort. it's the main entrance to the buffet and directly below (see the stairs in the background) the reception desk. it's also directly underneath rendezvous (bar). it is NOT private AT ALL. the reception on the beach is a great option - but look at the additional costs and make sure to either include that in your budget or find a way to have rebeca determine whether or not it will DEFINITELY be necessary. they are saying "we MIGHT have to use the tractor or move palapas", but what they really mean is that "we MOST likely will even if we don't NEED to." the beach is not private, but much more private than world terrace. b/c it'll be dark, you won't see people watching from afar. that being said, my bridesmaids had to turn several people away from las palmas b/c they were trying to "look at the pool" during our private party. people were also looking down at our party from the old tower. keep in mind that you're getting married at a resort where there are thousands of people vacationing. it's not a private ballroom.
