DREAMS PUERTO VALLARTA "thread"

Speaking of taking advantage of the AI (might sound totally cheap of us).. for our rehearsal dinner we are going to do it on Friday night which is the Mexican buffet on the beach. From what we heard if you tip the bus boys/waiters they will reserve tables for you. I hope it works, but if not later that night around 8:30 we will have a bonfire on the beach.

Hey girls I heard back from Rebeca and she said they have some waiters that will come down to the bofire to help out with drinks.

And Allyson ~ I'm doing the same thing by encouraging our guest to take advantage of the Mexican fiesta and then we reserved an area for cake and bonfire afterwards. We definitely don't think it looks cheap... it is a way to have stuff for your guests to do but not totally interfere with their vacation!

Ahhhh I totally didn't want to come to work today. I just wanted to stay home and finalize wedding junk. So instead of working I am stalking the Dreams PV FB page and checking out the trip advisor reports. It really makes me happy that so many people comment nice things about the resort. Ok back to work. Have a great week everyone :)

Autumn, I think that's awesome! What a great way to celebrate your mom's birthday!

Jill, you should totally go for the bonfire! I really want to, but I'm still not sure. Don't know if P wants one.

Do you girls know how it works if the Mexican Fiesta night with the buffet is happening on the beach & you want a bonfire? Do they put you somewhere else on the beach or is it just later than the beach buffet?

Veronica don't freak out at all. The weather is great in May, according to weather underground it hasn't rained in May for the past 7 years. It is just a little warm but still not bad at 80 some degrees. You don't have to worry about weather in PV except during hurricaine season which runs June thru October. And even then it can still be perfect on your wedding day. No matter where you get married weather is always a crap shoot! :)

My photog even said by that time it will have been dry of rain for so long that most waterfalls will be dried up so to not get my hopes up for TTD shoot by any waterfalls.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
