DREAMS PUERTO VALLARTA "thread"

Recommended Posts

I know that Saturday, Sunday, and local holidays do not count towards the required length of stay. For a legal weddings in mx it can be tricky.

We decided to sign all the paperwork, etc. at our local court house before we leave.

Hey girls! just wanted to chime in to let you know I had an AMAZING bridal shower yesterday!!! Our "fancy hat" theme turned out awesome! my aunt was in charge of the menu, my MOH was in charge of the decorations, and my friend in charge of the games. we had appetizers such as bruschetta, wontons with spinach dip in it, shrimp, and then all different kinds of salads with fruit and breads - homemade cheesecake and carrot cake for desert - wine, champagne - so good! the food was amazing!

I'll post pics when I gather them from everyone!

We are going to play in a kickball tournament with 2 of our teams and we figured why not get married while we are there?!?! We rented a big limo, got a case of champagne, some Vegasy outfits and are doing the drive-thru at the Little White Wedding Chapel. I know that most people think this takes the "special-ness" out of the real wedding, but we are calling the event "Legally Not Single" and it gives some of our friends that can't come to the DW a chance to see us sign some papers. We aren't changing names, bank accounts or even telling people we are married, but I am still excited. Besdies, the DW is what the bride and groom make it to be! The strange thing about this week is that I don't feel stressed, but I have gained 5 lbs which always happens when I do get stressed. Ugh! FI loses weight and I always gain - booo!

Anyways here is the mini-inspiration board I put together. I want to share this stuff with my friends but I am afraid they will start thinking of Vegas as the real wedding if I do. So you girls get to be my outlet :o) I'll post some real pics tonight if I can remember.

Orange gerbera daisy hair flower that I made (Uh yeah, I couldn't find any at the store becuase they are out of season - who knew fake flowers had seasons. So I pulled one out of an arrangement at home then glued some bling and a clip on it.)

Birdcage veil from etsy.

Davids Bridal shoes that I had dyed to match my wedding dress ribbon. But then I found better shoes to wear in Mexico so I decided to wear these in Vegas.

Orange orchid bouquet and boutonniere that I made. (The flowers came from the dollar tree and will probably get lost somewhere in Vegas)

Betsey Johnson Bye Bye Love dress that I swear looks like an 80s prom dress from Can't Buy Me Love. (I took off the belt) I got it when the store was having a buy 1 get 1 free sale plus the summer stuff was already on sale: 2 dresses for $200!

FI is wearing a pinstripe blazer with a purple lining and his trusty pair of G-Stars. White french cuff shirt and cufflinks that match his wedding band. The cufflinks are titanium with black diamonds and he is dying to wear them. (Yep he is totally metro but won't admit it)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
