DREAMS PUERTO VALLARTA "thread"

Recommended Posts

Jess, SD was a blast! too much fun! I slept for 15 hours the night I got back home. It's always crazy when everyone from work gets together. Went to Churchills twice, the baseball game, then I had to hang out in Burbank for a night.

Glad to hear vegas was good! I agree, you basically have to wake up, have an energy drink, excedrin, and then a cocktail every morning to cure the hangover!

That's crazy you met a guy getting married the same day in Mexico!! hahaha!!!!!!!

Hey girls - did anyone hear how much the chairs cost from Rebeca? She sent me pictures of them, and none of them would necessarily work with my colors, so I think I'm just going to use the ones that are included. Any thoughts....

Jill, Rebeca sent me a price list that says the "tiffany chairs" are an extra $15 per chair. And then there are two decor packages that include the chairs. I will attach it just so you can see it for yourself. :)

Vegas was awesome - was drunk the whole time so I didn't get a hangover - highly recommend that! there are pics on facebook - are we friends on there?? They brought me to a nasty male strip club - the guys were gross. Otherwise, there were a lot of fun times...I think the pool cabana during the day was the best part.

Oh and I met a groom (we crashed his bottle service) who was getting married the same day is me in Mexico! Crazy, huh?

Autumn, glad I'm not the only one! :) - the sad thing is I work with my parents Monday through Friday! So it is not like they are not going to see me.
Wow, you must've had an amazing time! Sounds like so much fun!! And how wonderful for your family to go on "one last" vacation. I think it's sweet. fingers crossed you'll have sunny skies.

My family is nuts too, but they already had to go through separation anxiety when I moved out to NY last year. We want to move back to Chicago eventually though so they'll get us back & then it'll be P's parents who lose out. :) What kind of work do you do w/ your parents? I worked in my dad's medical office for many years as an office manager. I loved it (most of the time) cuz I feel like I got to know him in a completely new way and I really cherish that.

thanks for posting the pricelist, Jessica. Aside from being nicer, does anyone know what the tiffany chairs look like? I was also assuming I'd just use what's included.

nice Karen - when do you want to move back to Chicago? I love Chicago - I think I could live their minus the winters.

We are in the insurance business - so we are independent agents for all the major carriers and we sell health, life, disability, long term care, dental, vision, etc. insurance (mostly in California). Pluses and minuses of working with family for sure - overall I like it though

Ok, so here they are.

The first one below are the banquet chairs included. Frankly, I like these, only because they go with my wedding colors better. If the Tiffany chairs came in grey/silver - then I might have something to think about. And $15 each can add up!

I was talking to my cousin (I was the MOH for her wedding) and I couldn't even remember what her chairs looked like at her wedding in May!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
