DREAMS PUERTO VALLARTA "thread"

Recommended Posts

There's always next year. lol

I'm still a student, so planning into the fall isn't conducive with my final two semesters. The only other option is moving it out a year--- not something I want to do.

I am actually looking into alternatives, that may still allow us to work with the Dreams, but it has been an uphill battle to say the least. Wish me luck!

Good Morning!

We leave in one week for our wedding in Puerto Vallarta and so far we have only had 2 people cancel, due to lack of flights they didn't want to spend 20 hours to return homesad.gif Sucks, but hey it could be worse.

I am so excited that my guests haven't let this whole Bullshit swine flu thing effect them. I am also pissed that the media is dropping the whole thing, but only the CDC is admitting they blew it out of proportion.

Hate to see what they plan to do to Mexico's economy when it is cold season.

Adios. Love you all! Good luck with everything!

I'm so sorry to hear about the cancellation! That's just awful. I can't believe how blown out of proportion this flu thing is - it's ruining so many people's plans. ugg. It may not be ideal, but could you fly to like Chicago or something and go from there? Good luck, I really hope you can work something out!

Hello all of my lovely Dreams PV brides

Well, FI and I have decided that getting married this summer is important to us. June 30th is our 5 year anniversary, and therefore we have decided to replan everything in Cuba!

Different, but not necessarily bad. I'm dissapointed, but everything happens for a reason, and we have found a beautiful alternative for quite a bit cheaper (which is great, because now more ppl can come, yay!)

Anyway, I wanted to wish all of you the very best and say thank you very much to everyone for all of the help and support the past several months. Its been amazing getting to chat with each and everyone of you. Big shout out and special thanks to Jess for being a total rockstar.

I think FI and I will try and make it down to Dreams sometime next winter-- who can pass up 24 hour roomservice? shots.gif

Hugs and Luck to each and everyone one of you. Enjoy your special day. smile03.gif

We were told we can go outside for the cake - the price they were quoting us was crazy expensive! I haven't looked into prices outside the hotel yet though.

Also, Dreams' prices have dropped a lot (probably because of the swine flu?) and now the "deal" we got with our group rates aren't as much of a deal (essentially it's the going rate now). Our TA was able to negotiate lower prices for our blocked rooms because of it. If you have blocked room rates, you might want to check on it.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
