DREAMS PUERTO VALLARTA "thread"

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I'm a wedding DJ and minister in Vallarta who has worked at Dreams many, many times. It is, in my opinion, the BEST place to get married in Vallarta--hands down. At the last wedding I did at Dreams (last Sunday), the crowd was chanting the head waiter's name because they were so enthused by his great service. I've NEVER seen that at another venue! To read an explanation, check out my blog post describing this wedding and why I feel Dreams is head and shoulders above the other hotels and villas in town:

Great choice!

Hi, my fiancee and I are not on the same page as to where we should have the reception for our Wedding at Dreams PV on April 27, 2013.  He wants to have it indoors and I want to have it outdoors - beach or terrace - does anyone have any comments/feedback about having a beach reception at Dreams PV in April?  I would appreciate comments about the ballrooms as well. We are anticipating 40 - 60 guests.

Thanks,

For future brides, here is our slideshow! I know I always loved looking at these when I was planning! Hope you're all having a wonderful Summer!

Oh my gosh, your slideshow is gorgeous! I definitely teared up a bit, when I see that raw emotion on other people I can't help put get a little misty-eyed myself.

Question: the decorations that you used for the gazebo, did you purchase them yourself or were they provided by the resort? I loved the elegant simplicity of them so I'm thinking of doing something similar.

Hi ladies!

This board is excellent, I feel like I need to go through all 215 pages!

So we're thinking of having our wedding at Dreams PV on the first weekend of October 2013. I'm a little nervous about it raining on the day of the wedding. Did anyone else get married there during that time of the year? If so, what sort of back-up plans did you girls have in case of rain? Did you end up using those plans? Did it go smoothly? Any insight is appreciated!

Thanks!

Hi ladies,

This forum is great.. I feel like I need to go through all 215 pages!

So my fiance and I are likely having our wedding at Dreams PV on October 4, 2013. The resort seems wonderful and so far the wedding coordinator I have been talking to, Fatima, has been so responsive and helpful. My biggest concern is the weather. I know early October is at the end of the rainy season, and I would like to have a beach ceremony and the reception on the Las Palmas terrace.

Has anyone else had their wedding around that time? Did it rain alot or at all while you were there? What back-up plans did you have in place? Did you use them? Did it go smoothly?

Also, if it rains, where do you take your wedding pictures?

Any encouraging words are appreciated!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
