So I guess the Mexican Fiesta night is on Friday nights and it is held on the main beach. Has anyone had their wedding on a Friday and did the fiesta interupt the wedding at all? We are having ceremony at 4 and cocktail hour/reception on the Las Palmas Terrace on a Friday.

I wrote on the Dreams FB page an Juan said this:

Yes the mexican party is every Friday, but next week will be on Sunday 20 of Nov. because is the celebration of the Mexican revolution. if your wedding is in las palmas, don't worry, the music of the Mexican Fiesta never over power the wedding at las palmas.

So we should all be fine :-)

Yes the fiesta is every Friday my wedding is Friday nov 27th and I'm glad to hear the fiesta will be on Sunday the 20th as that's the day we all arrive! The fiesta shouldn't interior weddings or I'm sure it would be brought up in some reviews and I have never heard anything- I'm sure you lady's will be fine- for my wedding we aren't doing all the traditional things partly to save on money and partly to have it feel a nit more casual- we are doing our ceremony at 3 then dinner at ocean restaurant where we will do cake cutting and champagne toast with speaches then at 8 we will head to ocean side of the beach for a bonfire where I am having s'more packages set up for everyone that will say s'more love at the bonfire we will have our Bose speakers and iPod so we can all relax and dance by the fire ( we are hoping to do a dance area by buying stuff down there to make it look the part hahaha) I am soooooo glad to hear there will be a fiesta on Sunday the 20th our 3 year old daughter will love that I'm sure!

b gardner,

We are from Alberta and getting married February 13, 2011!! We also have 40+ guests attending, the ceremony is on Oceana Beach as for the reception I have asked told wedding coordinator (Fatima) that "We are wanting to meet at a restaurant shortly after the wedding and asked if they required notification that my group will be coming?" She responded: " Yes, I will let you know the Monday before your wedding the restaurants that will be open so you can have
a set menu." I am in the process of confirming with her that there will not be a charge for this "set menu" ... From your understaning will it be no charge to gather at a resturant after the wedding??? I feel that since everyone is paying all inclusive we should not have to pay to have supper together the evening of our wedding! I am awaiting her response. Just don't want any surprise charges by doing the reception this way. Like your idea of offering to tip the resturant. I feel that people eating at the resturant will not mind moving to accomodate us, lets hope. We are also having the paradise package and bringing an ipod with songs for the reception using their Sound system with microphone and Ipod dock for a charge of $100 per hour. I am thinking of bringing my own gauze to decorate and add a little  the palm arch. We are also having a bon fire and really like your idea of bringing our own speakers, cant see why that wouldn't work! I am sure your plan will turn out to be wonderful!!!

Good Luck,

Heather

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
