We were married the first week of January. It was about 30'c (86'F) the day of our wedding and at night was probably about 20'c (68'F). It was plenty warm even with the light breeze. We were however dancing quite a bit later on, but even before that it was plenty warm. Doesn't hurt to have something to put over your shoulders just in case...

Hey Ladies hoping you can help. We are trying to hire a driver to take our guests to and from the airport and resort. The quote we got is crazy high and I can't imagine we couldn't get something a little more competivite. Have any of you hired drivers for your wedding? How did they do? Could you post their contact info. Thanks!

Hi NM2011,

Did you try this site? http://www.vallartatransfers.com/rates.htm If you buy a private vehicle it looks like you can save a bit of cash.

Did you ask Dreams whether they offer a shuttle service at all? You would think a 5 star resort would have this for free or at least a decent rate.

Did you book independently or are you through a travel provider? We are going through Sunquest and so our transfers are included in our prepackaged vacation. Sometimes they don't advertise this but it is included.

Good luck.

Hi Girls, We're back and married, WHOOOHOOO!

I'm still writing my review and planning thread.

In a nutshell: We had an amazing time at the resort. There were some bumps along the way with the wedding. With persistence it was all smoothed over. In the end we both we happy and all of our guests loved everything we did. (I will post a detailed one soon and let you know when I do.)

But until then, here are my pro shots....I know we all love photos. We also did a trash the dress but used my sister who is a professional photographer. If you want to add me on facebook you can see all billion photos of the resort, wedding, bonfire, trash the dress, etc. Kerri Blaine.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
