DREAMS PUERTO VALLARTA "thread"

Recommended Posts

Hey ladies!

Totally random question-

I don't know what to do with the escort cards situation. Ideally I'd love a big frame and just have each person's name with the table they are seated at next to their names, but I can't see myself hauling a large frame to Mexico....

I've considered the individual escort cards with holders but with such a small amount of people (35) that seems silly. However, I have 2 entree choices, so I know some order needs to be involved...

Anyway, any suggestions as to what you are doing/what you did?? It would be much appreciated!!

Thanks! feedback.gif

Hey BarbieBrideU!

We had almost the same amount of people at our wedding in Riviera Maya last year. I actually had my MOH handwrite everyone's names on individual paper luggage tags (see pic below). I brought a stamp with me that said, "...And they lived happily ever after, The End.", turquoise raffia to tie on the luggage tag and sticky turquoise gems for hint of bling.   I loved it (and so did our guests) because it kept with the fun, travel theme but still looked chic. Our resort printed out the menu cards for us, so those were taken care of.

If you have any other questions just let me know!

Ya, i dont care for the special treatment i just want to make sure everything works out at least somewhat as planned, lol , weve decided to go with the free package and just do dinner at one of the restaurants semi private and im going to look into adding cocktail hour however we may just get a table with linen from walmart and buy champane and some drinks and do that on the beach. we have 40 people going and ALL of us are extremely laid back, my parents got married in puerto vallarta when i was 7 so my moms been there done that for figuring it all out once we are there and all, depending on the cake upgrade we may just get a baker to make the cake and we will go pick it up! then we can spend more money on our guest gift bags and party favors, we are going to get maraca's and put them on the seats for everyone they will be painted with our names and have a tag that will say shake me at the kiss, i stole the idea from elizabeth madina's photography page!:P

Thanks for the info- helps alot to know there are others that go with the free package and make it all work how they want.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
