i watched that ceremony from my room for a bit.  it was very different.  i loved how the chairs were all in a circle.  i was trying to nap so the drums were a bit annoying..it was my breakdown day..lol. do you know where they had their reception?  i never saw them that night.

The Bride was so cool and sweet, I chatted with her right before she walked down the aisle, from my spot at the infinity pool. I wonder... is the Mayan bride on this forum? I'd be so interested to see how you liked your unique ceremony!

We specifically asked for our cake to be served at 9:00, along with our chocolate fountain. Heck, it was even in the program. But it was all out when we arrived at the reception. They had taken the chocolate fountain down by 9, which i wasn't too happy about, and then lost our cake before we were able to cut it. And I made sure to double check with them before the wedding day that they wouldn't bring it out til 9.

One more question- do they bring the cake out later (due to heat) or is it on the cake table throughout the entire reception?

Thanks for all your help.

I think they had there reception on the beach immediately following the ceremony. It was set up right next to the ceremony site.

To previous Dreams brides:

I need some help with the dinner menu. I noticed that the options I was given include soup OR salad, main entree, and cake. I could have sworn that from previous correspondence with past WC's, you were able to have soup AND salad, main entree, dessert and cake (additional charge per person over the 20 amount). Am I right about that? Any help is appreciated!

Hi xoamdxo75,

It depends what package you are going with. The silver package includes either soup or salad, entree and cake. The Gold package is the one that includes the soup, salad, entree, dessert and cake.

Let me know if you have any other questions,

Kate

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
