Our room was GORGEOUS...but we didn't use the jacuzzi once. Another couple that came with us however, used there's quite a bit. We were just go-go-go and so tired every night, that we never really had an opportunity. Or we'd be hanging out in the hottub with our group at night if we wanted to soak. So I guess it's different with everyone.

We loved the jacuzzi. It is basically just a bathtub on the balcony, but it was fun. We had everyone meet in our room several times and someone always ended up in the jacuzzi. The pictures that I have is where we are using it as a place to sit on the balcony :) And then the night that DH and I did the romantic dinner on the beach, they filled the jacuzzi with scented oil and flower petals then lit candles on the balcony. It was worth the money for us.

We didn't bother with the jucuzzi as we were given a non-jacuzzi room upgrade for $70 / night where the jacuzzi upgrade was going to be $160 / night. I really don't think we would have used it more than once maybe anyway and saving the $$ was nicer and still had a beautiful room on the 5th floor with fantastic views!

i got stuck in your box here :)

our TA got us upgraded to a room w/ a jacuzzi, but if we didn't have it, we wouldn't have missed it. it really is just a big bathtub, and to be honest, it skeeved me out a bit.

So I just asked Esman about the bonfire on the beach and he told me $400! Didn't all you ladies pay $300!? grrr... I hate how they're always changing their prices around like this. I'm going back to him and saying I've heard from multiple other brides that they paid $300.

I was told $350-$400 depending on the amount of ppl you had. Here is what he said in our email:

"We would like to have a bon-fire on the beach on Friday August 19. Can this be reserved? Yes, price for bonfire is 350 for 40 people, more than 40 is 400 USD. Time is for 2 hours and can not be after 10pm."

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
