DREAMS PUERTO VALLARTA "thread"

Recommended Posts

The theme nights start closer to 7. Rebeca did reserve 50 seats for us at the Fiesta. We were right up front and it was super fun.

An ipod at the bonfire is a great idea. We didn't do a slideshow at the bonfire, but we did watch a movie on the beach so I would imagine that a slideshow on the beach would be completely feasible.

Each night the staff leaves a daily activity sheet in each room. It has the schedule and even weddings and birthdays for the next day.

Hello everyone,

I just booked my wedding for June 18th and Rebeca just told me the terrace was not available.  Has anyone had their reception on the beach?  We are having the ceremony at the gazebo.  I'm concerned about renting a floor etc.  It seems no one on here has had a beach reception.

The bonfire idea is great.  We may do that Friday nite.  So excited and nice to meet everyone and share ideas.  I have read a bunch of threads and this website is awesome.  We are now getting ready to do our STD's and search for photographer.  I was going to hire Fur "the rockstar photographer" but his prices are too expensive for us.  Please let me know if anyone has had a beach reception. Thanks!!

When I asked what restaurants were open, they told me they wont know until the week before.  There could be 1-2 restaurants closed every night dependent on capacity.  Dreams does give out sheets and they also post them.  Here is the email I received....

Following  you find the restaurants schedules:

BREAKFAST:
Oceana from         8:00 AM to 11:00 AM
World cafe            7:00 AM to 11:30 AM

Co co cafe:            7:00AM  to 7:00 PM (only for coffee)

LUNCH:
Seaside Grill            12:00 PM to 4:30 PM
Barefoot Grill           1:00 PM to 5:00 PM
World cafe              12:30 PM to 3:30 PM

DINNER:
Theme nights       6:30 PM to 11:00 PM
Seaside Grill         6:30 PM to 11:00 PM
Porto Fino            6:30 PM to 11:00 PM
El patio                5:30 PM to 10:30 PM
Oceana                5:30 PM to 10:30 PM

Unfortunatelly at this moment I can not know if some of the restaurants will be closed for that date, according to the occupancy can be one or two of them closed.

We can give you more exactly information 7 days prior to the arrival date.

Thanks for that. I have found other sites around the internet with restaurant times, but who knows when they were posted? Ill assume this is the most current.  vistaprint is having a free sale on 25 brochures, so I want to take advantage.  I guess a few things may change, but oh well, it's free!!

Hi Crystal!  Not very far in my planning.  Getting ready to design the STD's this month and send them out.  My future sister in law had a destination wedding (Moon Palace) and has been a great help in answering questions. etc.  I'm going to block the rooms thru a travel agent soon.  Did you get a good deal on the rooms?  Where are you in your planning?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
