DREAMS PUERTO VALLARTA "thread"

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone.

I just got engaged and started planning our wedding. Dreams PV has been the best option so far.

Anything I need to know?

And also, I would take recommendations for a travel agent, since you all seem to recommend getting one.

Thanks :)

Cherazi, congrats on your engagement. I see this is your first post. Welcome to the site, you will become addicted to it. There is soo much info.  Where are you writing from?  You may find some help from some of the B2B regarding travel agents if you indicate on your profile where you are at. Also, I just noticed at the top of the page there is an ad for DW Travel Agents.

cheers,

Jenn

SO our deposit was charged. It's 100% official.

For anyone who had booked when the outside vendor fee was already in place ($500 for 50 people plus $500 deposit, etc), did they charge it? What if we fly our photog in and they are a guest? I know we have all discussed thes ad nauseum....but it seems most brides who recently brought someone in booked before that rule was in set in stone, so the fee got waived. We are just trying to figure out what is most economical (as far as not using the resort's photog).

Anyone have any exciting news of their own?

I am also looking for an outside-vendor photographer and trying to figure this out! If the photographer is an invited guest but, doesn't stay at our hotel, then we have to pay a non-hotel guest fee, right?

I believe you would have to pay for him as a guest, and I'm not sure about their vendor policies mow, so i wonder if it would be beneficial to call him a friend, Esther than photographer.....? that being said, I got married before they had vendor rules, so we just told the wc that the photog was coming and that she should make arrangements.

Oh sorry about that...so here is the most important part of the attachment (at least I think is the most important part)

  • From 0 to 50 people: the charge will be 500 usd American dollars
  • From 51 to 100 people: the charge will be 1,000 usd American dollars
  • From 101 to 150 people: the charge will be 1,500 usd American dollars
  • From 151 to 200 people: the charge will be 2,000 usd American dollars

Also, as per for the external providers contractor, must leave a 500 usd American dollars guarantee deposit in case of property and/or installations damage. If there is no damage, such deposit will be returned once the event is over and has been reviewed by our personnel, making sure the installations were presented clean and in perfect condition without any damage whatsoever.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
