Weight loss is better than weight gain (ugg... why is it so easy to gainhuh.gif lol).
smile03.gif Awww, I totally agree :) Best of luck to you, if you need anything feel free to PM me!

Ok so basically all the girls said what I wanted to say. No, I didn't lose the weight and yes, I felt beautiful. :)

Another thing I want to add is that I have seen some friends lose tons of weight for their wedding and look like a whole new person. Then they gain it back and their wedding pictures look nothing like them. So- I think it's better to look like you. :)

Steph we all plan on losing a ton of weight for our weddings and most of us don't lose as much as we plan. It's hard losing weight and added stress such as wedding planning and work makes it even harder. But i have yet to see pics of a bride on her wedding day that didn't look radiant and I know you will look and feel gorgeous on your wedding day too.

What a great thing to do! I'm going to start this RIGHT NOW! I definitely tend to over-compare myself to others. I need to love me for ME! wink.gif

Great point Rachel. :)

Back to the opening post. I know how you feel. I'm not at my heaviest but I could def stand to lose 15 or 20 lbs. But then again, I've lost almost 15 in the past year so I am proud of that! I have other things that I worry about too - since I have such an AWESOME photographer and am paying so much and the pics are so important to me I worry about my freckles, scar on my face, extra fat, etc. etc. etc. I don't want to ruin her beautiful work! Typing that out makes me want to smack myself though LOL We are all unique and beautiful. No one can be you or look like you and YOU are the one marrying the love of your life. I think we all need to remember that. Our fiances love us and lust for us - they don't scrutinize us like we do ourselves.

Think positive and keep in mind all the great advice for all the ladies and I think you'll do fine! Great thread btw :)

Oh we've all got the chocolate addiction and if people say they don't they have an addiction to some other bad food lol

I would love to lose 2st, got no chance, I look at it this way as long as I look in the mirror and i'm slimmer than FI I'm happy pmsl

Seriously tho if he thought you were a fat ugly munter he wouldn't have married you now would he? Look in the mirror and see you not what you think you should look like. My friend lost a shed load of weight and she looked really thin and unwell.

Like Rachel said you look at the pics now and it doesn't even look like her.

So here is a virtual kick up the arse, you aren't fat you are just shapely and FI need something to hang on 2 punk.gifrofl.gif

Oh my poor sweetie! RJ is going to love you no matter what. We have been engaged for over a year and I honestly just threw the towel in! If I lose it, so what - if I don't - SO WHAT!!

Like someone else said - take your dress in and get it altered so that it fits you in the most flattering way. Go to JC Penny's and get one of those chubb-sucker-inners that I found, find a good bra for the girlies and enjoy your day!

Don't waste your time stressing about it. You are so deserving of a break right now. Enjoy your vacation with your new hubby and stop worrying about it!

Don't let your weight shape your emotions for the day, I know you will be gorgeous on that day, and so will the man next to you who you are going to marry. I was never skinny, always a "bigger" girl, and I tried so hard to lose weight to try to "meet someone".... and that is not what matters! I wish someone had told me all those years!!! As time goes on, do it for your health after the wedding, but enjoy that day, you so deserve it!!
I totally agree with what J said!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
