Masculine OOT bag contents

Recommended Posts

Just wondering if you girls have come across the dilemma of packing, or putting together an OOT bag for a guy who's attending alone? I didn't even pick up a bag for him because, let's be honest; no self-respecting guy is going to skip down to the ocean with a canvas tote bag ... at least I hope not. :)

Sooo ... what have you, the experts, done in this situation? I was trying to think of something manly to put the items in ... I don't just want to hand him the items in my hands. LOL

Thanks in advance ladies!!

I haven't encountered this situation yet, but I have thought about it. The only thing I could come up with off the top of my head is a bucket. Not like a sandbucket but they have those tin type metal buckets that you can put ice and then like 3 or 4 beers in. I saw guys with them last time I was in Vegas actually and they could go to the pool (or beach depending on where you are) for a few hours and have their beverages cold and right beside them.

Logistically though, bringing a metal bucket with you in luggage is not practical. So I will continue to think up some ideas. I love shopping challenges. :)

I had 3 single guys.

For all of my guests I used disposable gift bags in my colors as OOT bags. Most people had beach bags and to get nice Adidas ones that the guys would carry wouldn't have been cost effective.

For contents I did sunscreen, first aid/hangover kit, golf balls, disposable camera (underwater would be awesome!) condoms (mainly as a joke), and some travel size man-scaping products (shave gel, body spray, etc).

I wanted to find a cool bottle opener but ran out of time. You could also try to find drink koozies. I don't think the boys used most of the stuff, so contents probably isn't that important.

You could do a travel type cooler to put the stuff in?

Maybe something like this

Amazon.com: Custom LeatherCraft 1540 14-Inch BigMouth Cooler Bag: Home Improvement

I have a male cousin who is attending with his partner (yes they're gay) I'm going to do the same as everyone else for the most part. Everything is pretty universal that I'm putting in the bags. I haven't decided to do 1 bag for both, or do individual bags.

Now for the BM who is attending, he is bringing his son with him who is my FH's godson. So I will make a kids bag but the BM will of course get different items then everyone else. I haven't quite decided what I will put it in. Maybe get one of those nice toiletry bags like this.

Amazon.com: Men's Personalized Micro Fiber Toiletry Bag: Health & Personal Care

I'm also toying with the idea of a Humidor.

I think a soft cooler would work well for a single guy.

I never really thought of bottle openers. Maybe I will see if I can find some that won't cost too much. Since the rooms are stocked with bottless of pop and beer that require a bottle opener, and not all the rooms have them. Last time we were there we didn't have one in our room but I think everyone else did.

I did the soft cooler. Target had them on the clearance bin. I put in sunscreen (because they wont remeber their own), Lotion, body gel, playing cards, dice, nerf football, shot glass, first aid kit, and hand santizer because guys are gross. Oh and we made plastic tumblers with their names on them.

Seriously, you guys have the BEST ideas! Bottle opener- genius! Even a cigar end-cutter-offer thingy would be cool, since the resort we are going to has a Cigar bar and walk-in Humidor where they can buy cigars...hmm...

Is it kosher, or not, to give different items to different types of guests? Has anyone dealt with this before and found it to be okay, bad, good, neutral? Thanks!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
